What do you guys think of him? I thought he brought a cool element to skateboarding, he was a burley dude but did some good solid tech tricks.

i thought he was awesome, but a lot of people don't like him for some reason...maybe it was the sweat, or the fact that he skated to Des'rae in one of his video parts?  I saw him skate at a few Ateam demos when I was a kid and he absolutley killed it...

he moved to seattle for awhile. he was kind over dealing with industry heads. gershon made alot of skrillz in the skateboard game and just kind of disappeared, he still skates alot and i im pretty sure he is riding for a couple underground companies just doing his thing. first dude that i ever saw do a switch backside smith on a ledge. gershon is dope.

and you know what, his switch back smiths are probably better than 90% of the other pros regular back smiths.

90% more sweatier too-lol

Nah, dude's good. At one point he was pretty amazing. I bet he could be better but isn't "sweating" the skate scene too hard.

Gershon has been skating a grip and doing diffrent projects. He is a real skater and was a huge influance in my skating as well as my life. G is one of the most well rounded skaters EVER, he was an ATV before it was cool. Yes soy bomb I KNOW ALL.

hahaha...took the words out of my mouth.  captain sweatback.  but yes, despite the excretions from his sweat glands, he handled his business.  he had a part in a powell video that was ill for the time...scenic drive maybe?

i don't like watching him skate at all, and CAN AND WILL fast forward a mosely part. however i have a lot of respect for him for living in places like boise and making sure his stuff was filmed at new/interesting spots.

This isn't the opinion of some scorned fan or whatever, but I have to say...it is what it is, but as an observer I honestly did see Gershon treat kooky, but age-appropriately kooky, little kids kind of harshly on a few occasions. I always understood it that that Gershon was focused on just skating, and down for the average skate brother, but not really made for the gingerbread extracurricular/'professional' side of having a board and shoe out.

He was in a DVD called synopsis and it had THE Nate Sherwood in it, I can still smell it in my dvd player

In fact Gersh's section was (in my opinion) pretty poor for him

that trick was the Ron Allen one foot where the board goes behind your foot and hits your leg like a no comply. I've done that trick a million times and can't understand how you would do that trick down or over something. it's pretty much death.
I saw him skate a demo in new orleans and that dude clocked about 3 mins of super solid footage in about 30mins.

I may not have been super hyped on his video parts but as far as his skills went i'd say he was in the top 3 of pro skateboarders. i think he's actually been messing around with that plague anthony ogelsby lately.

gershon is dope and a really nice guy that watches out for his friends. it's cool that he always finds new spots to skate and not film on the same boring spots as most other skaters. there's stuff of him at www.razorsharpcrew.com and has footage in the new razor sharp video "It could've been Worse". James has a full part as well.
