I’m currently skating an 8.62 antihero eagle shape with indy 149s and 53mm conical fulls and it’s one of the most comfortable setups I’ve skated so far. Wide but not so wide I’m concious of it, and a nice wb of 14.75. Oddly I haven’t been able to jive with wbs at or above 15.

Ditched the Hockey already because I hated the steep nose and tail and the quality is gutter trash. Chipped on it's first impact with something hard and paint is flaking off.

Got a Polar 8.5- what companies have a similar shape with the large nose, sorta pointy tail, moderate wheelbase?  I think it is 8.5x32x14.5
[close]

same question here. preferable generator and a bit lower concave. Baker?
[close]

Why don't you just keep skating the Polar 8.5's?  I'm on my second and they're really durable.

I just get bored, but probably will stick with em.

Both are and you can still buy gear. I just nabbed some new shorty's and miss my set of Black Panther's they were so fast and lasted far longer than they should have (and I was skating some crusty fucking spots and never cleaned them; I lost them (on a full setup due to carelessness).

I think the standard DLX 8.5 shape is identical. I'm a big fan of Polar wood though. Does not lose its pop.

8.5 studio deck that i re-painted (mob grip)
149 independent trucks stage 9 i believe
56mm bones wheels "spf" pool shape (i usually skate smaller stf or oj, but i wanted to try it out)
some super fast bronsons G3's (spit in them and bomb a long hill)
i have no idea what hardware i have, but it's 7/8" cause i can exactly fit some 1/8 risers on there.

not much more to say other than the deck is really nice after one month of skating every day. going back to skaing polar boards, since they feel super nice, i like the shape and they make me feel so fucking radical

man, i have black panthers on a couple setups and they're fast as hell. curious to try modus and not really willing to spend on the high-end bones but black panthers are still great.

The shape is nice indeed, I do find the tail a little small for tailslides and whatnot though, if the tail was the size of the nose or a tiny less it would be better imo.
