I'm rocking the suede version right now and they are pretty good, not as grippy as a vulcanized sole but it's a very decent middle of the road shoe that has help up well to some hard flicks.

Good to hear,I really am just a flip trick and ledge/curb skater these days.I have been all over the map with shoes since I started skating again(my heyday was the puffy shoe era) I bought these on a whim and when I laced them up they just feet right to me.

Laces seem to be holding up well too, pretty happy for the price I paid.

5.8 Venture Bobby Worrest
52mm Spitfire Mike Anderson SFW 2
Bones Reds
1" Shorty's Silverados

Emerica Dissent 10.5 (not pictured)

This was gonna be a street setup come spring, but I brought it in to work to try out the Ventures and I haven't touched my $lave board since. Loving the whole thing, for sure!

that's why it's spitfire and feedback ted stickers only for me, it's bad enough when I can see marks from a different brands trucks on the deck.

venture and indy stickers always look fire though.

Yeah, that makes me insane.

Shouldn't look too bad if you do some poser slides to hide it.

Weezil- this is one of my greatest shames....swapping trucks and there are three sets of bite marks, different baseplate marks....why. Terrible.

Looks very nice. I loved this combo of truck and wheels in the late 90s. Also I just found out that bigheads are not wider than classics, which I always thought they were!

True? I also thought wider. Although now I’m probably down for a wide, small wheel. Skated good way back when on slim wheels, always felt ‘crispy’. But a wider wheel definitely feels decent when skating for distance. I’m committed to 52 and down.
I’ll see how long I make it.
The raw lows look so solid and tough.

Do the Venture 5.2s feel too small on an 8.25 board? I've decided to stop adding boards to my collection since they take up too much space. I'm a truck collector now, been thinking of adding the cast variants to my collection now.

I had 5.2s on a 8.25 I couldn't get used to it but it was great for flip tricks especially scoop tricks like tre's. I bought 5.8 Venture's and it's way better all around for Me.And it gave me an excuse to get a 8" for my 5.2s 😁

A little bit. I wanted those trucks and I’m making due right now with an 8.25. It’s definitely manageable and there are some advantages. My next deck will be an 8 or closer to 8.

How do you like the Birdhouse? I'm a fan of them, and their team, especially their retro stuff.

Never had the opportunity to try them, however. But I've been eyeing a Dixon pro-model.

I personally dislike 3/4 of their team. It’s hard not to when they keep people like David Loy on the payroll. I bought this board purely because it was a Tony Hawk retro graphic. It’s flatter than what I usually like but I think it’s the same as most Baker Boys boards. If you’ve had a Baker, Deathwish, or Heroin board then you’ll know the shapes

Alltimers Zered Basset
8.25 w; 14.25 wb
Thunder 149 titanium (first time on Thunders)
Bones 55mm, V5 STF; 103A; Dakota Servold

I picked this deck up at Active's going out of business sale. I felt somewhat bad about throwing money at them rather than a real shop; however, 50% discount got the best of me.

Santa Cruz 8.375 x 32 x 14.5 - China wood
Theeve tiax2 5.8
Formula 4 radial slim 53mm 101a
FAG bearings
Diamond hardware
Modus perforated grip

this board is huge compared to what i am used to riding, but the one session i've had so far went surprisingly well, i was actually flipping it far more consistently than my previous setup

Do you know if this is the same shape as that "impact stripe" deck they had out for a few seasons?  I loved that board.

I’m not quite sure. I’m under the assumption that Baker hasn’t done this shape before, with the longer wheelbase. I’m fairly sure the others were about 14”. This is basically the exact same as the Cardiel footballs
