Is it true that AH Decks have always a steep concave?
- I always bought AH decks at skatedeluxe and thought they are 'medium', because in their description they are saying that they also have medium Decks.

Nothing is definite.

Stoked for tomorrow.
I wasn't going to skate it but Im just only going to skate the nose and tail. Graphics will be fine. Still will look good on a wall

I switched my trucks around putting the back on the front. Hope it doesn't get me hurt.

I'm really happy with the shape of my wheels rn.

I need to re cut the axles soon. Not looking forward to wheel rotation

If you switched your trucks switch your bushings so that they’re back where they were before

I usually switch my trucks from front to back every other setup. no switching bushings or anything. they break in perfect that way.
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

Anti-Hero 8.28  14.125 wb
Indy 144 Titaniums with Bones hard bushings
Bones STF v1 53mm, probably 50mm by now
Bones Swiss
Mob Grip
7/8 hardware

Takes more effort doing flip tricks coming from an 8 on Thunder 147 hollow lights.
Noticeably more stable on grinds and overall, however I already have a Real 8.125 waiting to be skated next, hope it will be the best of both worlds.
[close]

I'm still sitting on that deck, rode it a handful of times, just couldn't vibe with it, much too short for me (5'10"); couldn't imagine riding that little wheelbase with Indy's tho!

If you love it and ever want another one, let me know.

Thank you for the offer but I actually have an 8.125 Real waiting to be skated next. And even if I wanted to get the same deck the shipping price would probably be crazy as I live in Russia.
For some reason I'm actually into shorter decks and wheelbases, what do you think are the disadvantages of these?

Try throwing your thunders on that

I did and to be honest still liked it better on Indys. The only thing that was slightly better on thunders were flip tricks.

The thunders were previous generation 147 hi hollows, i think they redesigned the geometry since then and mine were kind of low and had too much wheelbite on wheels above 50-51mm. I recently ordered 148 titaniums which are higher to try them out.

What do you think might be the downsides of having wheelbase too short?

For some reason I'm actually into shorter decks and wheelbases, what do you think are the disadvantages of these?

- less stable at high speeds (ie hillbombing)
- board can feel tiny if you're a bigger person
- board can be too responsive and you don't have enough time to react to the board's actions (if that makes sense)
- easy to overshoot tricks if you're used to bigger boards
- transition is arguably more difficult

Never bombed hills.
For me riding a 8.28 but short and with a shorter wb sort of evens out and helps the board to be smaller overall as i have previously been riding an 8 for most of my experience. It just doesn't feel as big and is more responsive. Not saying it's perfect but definitely not bad.

My next one will be 8.125, 32 length and 14.25 wb. Going to try it on both Indys and Thunders.

I’m using ventures because I heard dlx boards work better with dlx trucks. This is my first board so I can’t comment on if it’s better or not

Makes sense if we're speaking about the boards with short wheelbases which most of dlx boards that I had were.
Most people try to find an adequate balance between boards wheelbase and the trucks. Ventures are known to extend the wheelbase.
Anyway yours is great choice, have fun with it!

pizza 8" 14" WB PStix , Squared off nose , steep kicks
venture 5.2 hollow lights
53mm 101 conical f4 / swiss

been one of my most solid setups in a long time. I had F4 51mm 99DU tablets on it until the past few days where I switched back to these conicals, think I dig the stability of the conical over the tablets. as well as the 101 vs the 99 DU

I have a GX1000 8.125 to set up next and I hope this truck set up will work just as well with the board being a little bit bigger.

So sick! I just picked up this deck.

I went against my post in the 'brands you'll never buy' and nabbed this deck when I saw the dimensions online (8.2 under 32") plus Puig rips; question, the site stats say 14.125" for the WB, did you measure it at 8.25? (which I'd prefer anyway). Slapping some 5.6 TI ventures on it when it arrives.

Can you snap a top pic (DM me of you don't want to post it); curious to know how pointy it is. How's it feel?

Just got this decks today, going to to setup asap, got to admit the concave/kicks are much steeper than anticipated but welcome! Finish is nice, sounds crispy knocking on it (like DSM boards).

Measures a true 8.2 and 31.75, WB is not 14.125 nor is it 14.25, but somewhere in the middle. No matter.

Those trucks look tiny on that board to me. Maybe it's the colored wheels throwing me off.
What's the sizing like on those Hysterias? Do they match up similar to Thunder, Indy, or Venture or other main truck brands or is it hard to find the right size for boards?

They are a bit tiny, the axle is 8.0 inches. So, 0.25 difference, give or take.
I used to ride an 8.0 Deathwish deck which I found was too thin for my liking. However, I’ve barely used these trucks so I’ll ride them for a bit more before getting a set of 144s.
