Terror of Planet X 8.25" Mike Maldonado
Indy 144 tittys
Jessup ultra
Spitfire F4 conical full 99a 54mm
Rockets bearings

Saw that OneUp got the new ToPX decks in yesterday so I went down to check them out. The one I really wanted was the Getz but they only had it in 8". All the graphics from this series look great but the colors on the Getz one really stood out to me, so I'm sure I'll end up getting it at some point. Skated this one a little bit this morning and I'm very happy with it. Even though it's just a normal medium bbs popsicle it doesn't feel boring, very enjoyable in a utilitarian way.

Nerd shit:

8.25" x 31.8" 14.2" wheelbase
7.12" nose
6.75" tail

Shape is typical BBS with not much in the way of fingers of flat on the tail, slightly more up top. Tail is medium, nose feels a little steeper. Reminds me of the DLX 8.28 x 31.7 shape but a little longer and more wb.

That sir is a beauty right there.  Based on those dimensions though, those are basically the exact dimensions for wb and length for the antihero 8.28, just rounding up and wiping off one significant figure.

I was actually kinda wondering which DLX 8.2ish shape was the one with the 14.25wb so cool to know it's the 8.28. It bugs me that most of their 8.25s are 14.38. Short legs don't like.

I was just looking at the Krooked catalog and saw that board. I know it's a custom shape but the AWS type blunt nose is the only thing that looked different about it? Is that basically it? I'll probably never even see it in person and I can't quite tell with the doggie in the pic.

I just got of a MAnderson Deck. The only difference is the blunted tips. Not FA blunted but more so than a regular popsicle. I liked mine.

Totally. The nose and tail feels round but for sure not FA/hockey/quasi round but round for a dlx shape. For being an 8.38 it doesn’t feel small. The last magenta I had was an 8.4, but felt small.

The only thing about the Manderson shape is that the nose feels kind of long. Like the “fingers of flat” from the bolts to the kick feels a touch long but I like how it feels.

I'm done skating DLX boards, the BBS wood is good but those dimensions don't work for me.

The 8.28" x 31.7" shape I'm referring to is 14.12" wb. I've got a kanfoush shit canned construction and the pumping feathers team deck on it but I've seen it all through the entire DLX line so they use it pretty often. There's also an 8.25 x 32 with a 14.25wb but I prefer short decks most of the time so I've never tried it.

I'm quite the opposite, I really like those and those skate great for me. Only shape I currently skate. I'm around 6'1 so that might have something with it.
Back in the day it was common to have narrow and long decks (sub 8 decks with long wheelbase).

I actually figured out the wb was 14.12 reading through the thread (I'm like a month behind) but I appreciate the clarification. There was a poster from Russia I think who had a Raney Beres board in that size about a month ago and they listed it as 14.12 so it all made sense. I remember that you're also a fan of the Yinzer shape which I also really dig. 14.25 is fine but I'll take something shorter if I can get it.

I've got one in the stack and the shape looks sooo good. Full round Popsicle. Been on 8.25-8.50 for a while with 14.25-14.375 WB and wanted a thinner but longer and steeper deck.

Got some thunder teams 148s in the bag for the deck as well. SHiiiiiiii I'm salivating. Just so different from what i've been on for a min.

Doom sayers has an 8.25" x 32"  with 14" wb, but it looks like they also have alternate shapes of some of their graphics including an 8.28" x 32.25" 14.25" wb. Pretty confusing to be honest.

I think the mold this Terror deck is on is really common and a lot of smaller companies use it (I think it's mold 5?) but with varying dimensions. I also have a traffic deck on it and has a theories deck that was on it but 32" and I kind of hated that one for some reason.

I really wish I could find a flat BBS deck with a mellow tail. Even stuff that's labeled as "mellow" (like the baker OG) I would classify as more of a medium. I'd like something closer to the quasi PS shape or the 8.25 x 31.6 shape that Blood wizard and a lot of other brands use, but on BBS wood. I'm sure they exist but I can't recall ever actually coming across one.

DOA 8.25" (Flat as Fuck)
V-hollow 5.6 w/ DLX 97a bushings (the madness got to me and I am trying to go back)
51mm F4 tablets
reds/shortys/jessup

I'm breaking a personal taboo and skating "old" wheels on new trucks, but I really like this set and have been having trouble getting F4s (like everyone else). Overall, this is my favorite shape. I set one of these up at the beginning of lockdown and have had three other boards since but kept coming back. My last one is super dead and I got the Ventures so I figured I would go ahead and skate this one.

I know not a popular name here, but you are decribing the Creature Coldpress decks to a T. I skate BBS pretty most of the time with some PS but these are by far the nicest feeling decks Ive had. Flat concave and mild tail and nose full dual nose/tail design. Hidden gem. Cold press version though as they use a diff adhesive process. 8.25, 8.38, 8.5 version is all that available but they sell out quick. I posted some pics of my second coldpress in the setup thread but I have never had someone who tried these say anything bad.
