only 14.25wb at the local. it’s an 8.5 and i’m not sure what size my trucks are but it does feel a bit like a magic carpet. so i’m guessing 5.6?

great looking board g - .25 axle width is firmly in the realm of acceptable +/- board size, and im a axles in>axles out guy so this back this

Also that's a ps stix deck. So that 8.5 probably measures more like a 8.375 across the bolts.

It's a good combo. You get the big truck turn and the smaller board flip. 55s also seam to have slightly narrow hangers for their size, so there's pretty minimal monster trucking.

Damn you are riding smaller boards!

I often look at that one and wonder if they all have the same stain or it varies, as the stock pic is pretty much perfect with the stain fade to sunset, not that it matters one tiny bit to how it skates though, which like the other boards the same as that I have had have been oh so good...

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

Do it man, I just got off the 44s and the 55s feel so stable but also super surfy on the 8.3. If you havent tried 55s on a board that small before id def give it a try on ur new board, locking in to grinds has never felt so good.

I’m a big proponent of 8.5 with 55s already so why not.

Curious about trying the mixed bushings. Both my set ups have hard bushings because I use to wheel bite all the time, usually doing flip tricks. I miss getting surfy tho. Is this a happy medium for you?

I'm about 6' and usually weigh around 175-77. I might try it, but I've been off the board due to adjusting to meds and having rolled my ankle twice in a month. Think I might benefit from the stability till I get my groove back. Never thought I'd ride hard bushing but that's the way she goes

Mixed bushings have saved me for many wheelbite scenarios...while still turning well.

I get a nice turn due to medium bushing but i get a bounce back when i lean too far, as the top bushing limits it.

For reference Im about 6’3 and 200lbs...for me its worked really well.

so is the top bushing supposed to be harder than the bottom one?

Set this up yesterday, with any luck I can skate it today.

8.5” Orchard shop deck
5.8 Standard (bones top washer)
F4 classics about 48mm

Advertised as a 14.25” wb but it’s closer to 14” which actually works out for me.
