New complete today.  First one in about 2 years.

Quasi 8.5x32.125
Thunder 149 Hollow Lights
Spitfire F4 Classic 99A 53mm
Reds Bearings
Jessup Grip

Loving the square nose and pop on this.  It definitely reminds me of some older Habitat shapes.  It skates smaller than the measurements for sure.

Cause it is smaller than the measurements they list. I have an 8.625 from them that's an 8.5.

It skates smaller because the board tapers down to 8.25 near the rear bolts.

Hmm,ps stix boards always seems to be smaller than what they claim. It has been mentioned millon times on these forums that they measure their boards with concave, not across it like it should be done.

If I'm riding 8.18 and going to a 8.25 sometimes now... should I be on a 147, or a 149?  Not sure which size wheels I should be on either.  I just set up an 8.25 FA deck on my 147's and it seems like I get wheel bite easily.  I think I'm on the Hi's but they don't seem high to me, and I can't find Thunders height dimensions.

Thunder 147's are 49.78mm tall and 149's are 52.3mm tall. That being said, 8.18 is the smallest I would go on 149's personally. 8.2-8.4 is really nice for 149's in my opinion and to Thunder's recommendation as well. I got too much wheel bite on 147's so I switched to Indy 139's and the difference in height was very noticeable at 55mm. Definitely try some Thunder 149's and if you still don't like the wheel bite, you can always come to the Indy side like I did  ;)

V-Nice set-up.
How do you like the conical bushings in comparison to stadand top cone/cylinder bottom? Also, how are the independent after market bushings? I ride my trucks on the looser side, not quite wobbly, and I've been interested in going for a softer bushing.

It is for sure noticeably more carvy than the standard cone/cylinder setup. Of course you don't get the snapback you do with the cylinder bottom bushing, but I ride pretty loose so snapback doesn't affect my skating. And Indy bushings don't seem to blow out as quick as Bones bushings from my personal experience, so I prefer the aftermarkets to any other bushing.

best urethane out there. if you look at em closely you can see there cnc cut versus using a mold like most bushings do.. i was on the bones thing for so long then rode some of the conicals in my thunders and they worked like a charm.

Beware, you get way more wheelbite on the conicals if you skate Indys. I like it that way, but many a times I've fallen from a heelflip/kickflip due to the wheelbite from the conicals,

Lovely setup Moe. This looks pretty much exactly the kind of a setup I'd like. And I'm most likely gonna buy the Elgins at some point when they're more widely available here in Europe. I heard from the European distributor that we're even getting States in one shop in Finland. Hopefully they'll get the Elgins too.  :)

Damn. Getting them from the local shop would be great. I don't need any new shoes for a while though and breaking my leg ended up costing me close to 3000 euros if not more in total, so I'm a bit strapped for cash for a while at least. But I'll definitely keep this in mind for when I feel like I can and want to spend some money on shoes again.  :) Thanks for the tip.
