Damn I wish scumco was sold around here . That deck looks sick . What’s the hardness on the white bushings ? I’m asking the lite blue with no washers and it’s perfect for me .

Ordered this one on sale direct from their site, my local shop doesn’t carry them either. Not sure on the hardness of the bushings. They came in my last pair of trucks (Thunder 147 Ti lights). If they’re the same as the aftermarkets thunder sells they’re 90D, but they feel harder than the translucent blue ones to me.

I haven’t. First impressions are it feels much stiffer and more solid than something like BBS or PS stix, maybe a little heavier too. It has a nice full shape but a short wheelbase which I like cause I’m short. Haven’t really had a chance to really skate it yet though cause the weather has been shit.

I do!!! I've been keeping my setups the same forever... I've always loved a smaller, lighter board as it's so much easier to control. At 39, I mostly only skate flat, banks, low ledges and manual pads, so this setup works perfectly for me.

I have been having the most fun on similar setups, and am of similar age. Big boards, and especially trucks look very cool, but I get beat up more skating those setups. Where can I find this deck and also the wheels? Wheels skatepark only or can you skate some street? I setup the jovontae reissue on some regular venture 5.0 lows, surprised how heavy the trucks are. Any and all answers appreciated.

I skate around the rough streets of my city on these 45s and its no problem. I make sure to have well maintained Swiss in them to ensure a smooth ride. I’ll send you a DM and we can talk more.

Yup, they measure true (something NHS has always done right compared to most).

The DLX FULL at 8.25x32.25x14.5wb was weird, wheelbase and length too long - the SE, fantastic shape but doesn't have the WB I like, but I really enjoyed riding it (Thanks, again Reed!)...also, I prefer the way NHS wood feels in comparison to DLX.

I've ridden the 8.18/8.25/8.38 DLX SE, each one felt like riding the next size up when it came to the nose and tail width (awesome) but I feel they should have followed their standard deck lengths and WBs and just made them full; I'd kill for the 8.18/8.25" full with the regular dims...I'm sure the dudes making them have their reasons (team rider suggestions).

Anyway, the NHS 8.25/8.375/8.5 widetips are really close in dims, and, the right sort of increase you'd expect with just a marginal increase in width. .5"s here and there (if that), compared to DLX that make 8.375s with dims that would go on a 9" (sorry DLX guys, but some of those dims are crazy town...almost 15" WB on an 8.38 x32.45...most 8.5s don't even go there; feels like they're quietly making vert boards.

The 8.38" full is magnificent! I'm afraid to try the 8.5" full as I think it could be a bit too much but I'm still intrigued. Not every skater is a short stub or wants to skate a 9" board constantly.

Not sure why they are doing such weak graphics for these shapes, they're so fucking nice; thankfully the Street Creep is my size I'm currently into. Hopefully, we'll start to see some more re-issue graphics on these...they're already running SALBA/Knox/Creep reissue graphics on popsicles..guess it's royalty based, be cool to see some Kendell, Roskopp, Grabke, O'Brian (make this happen!), etc., and Guzeman's Chica Muertes.

The wood is awesome, as usual - makes other shops' wood feel waterlogged :\

Unusual indeed.  Generator is fine.  I don't hate it but the crispy NHS wood is by far my favorite of any woodshop. 

It feels different than anything else to me (in a good way).

I love this deck shape. So far I’ve had two scumco deep dish in 8/8.12 and it’s the perfect shape for me. Only other that I’ve liked as much so far is the Matt reason Keys reissue in 8.

The Real is stamped "I" on top and has a pretty steep nose and tail. However the Scumco Deep Dish has really pronounced concave and is considerably steeper than the Real. Digging the fact that both have a 14" wheelbase.
