Have people who skate anything but f4's tried F4's?
Spitfire will get no money from me.
I have wasted to much on them already to go back.

I give a fuck less about street cred. I have burned through so many sets of spits in my youth I refuse to go back. Plus I did some work for SML so that’s where my loyalty lies. Butwhatdoiknow?

nice work on the 8.5 quasis boys, they both have that square nose?

yeah they're pretty boxy shapes and I really like that. I feel like I can really feel a corner for scooping tricks like 360 flips and back 360s.

how do you like the clives?

got some clives also, not skating mine theyre solely chillers but as Moe said real comfy, sockliner feels good as does the quality of them. i'd imagine they'd skate fairly nice.

Really solid first post.  Super jealous of those trucks.
All you got is today, get out and skate.

Also curious about those trucks.  Did you find them in an attic or something?  That set-up seems like it was finely tuned in a laboratory somewhere to appeal to slap peeps.

They have 6 holes each, the bolts are just hidden behind the trucks.

yes, they have the 6 hole pattern, only in stage 7 + 8. It's handy to be able swap around with new/old/re-issues decks.

Also curious about those trucks.  Did you find them in an attic or something?  That set-up seems like it was finely tuned in a laboratory somewhere to appeal to slap peeps.

Back in late late 80s or early 90s when grind king sold just their inverted kingpin, I would use those in my indys, so I've always loved that concept. I'm a bit of a hoarder, and found the mother lode in rubber maids in my parents basement. Old Stage Vs, VIs, and VIIs, cross bones wheels, shirts, old magazines (anyone remember power edge?), tons of stuff that i had forgotten about. So now there's a shrine in my basement!

Any Indys that are VIII or earlier are easy to swap out to grind king/krux inverted, since they still had the old kingpin bolt with hex head. Just hammer it out and slide in the new nut for inverted, no spinning nut issues.

I also just started running a blank deck that's same size, has same wheels, bearings, bones bushings, etc as this set up. Only difference is it has stage XI 144s, to see if there's a big noticeable difference between VII and XI geometry. Honestly can't really tell yet, but will keep you all posted! (I should move this convo to the truck set up page....)

Thanks all, and looking forward to adding more photos + info and getting feedback + questions!

Does anyone make decks with the wider set of holes anymore?

Very special setup. Even the use of krux and welcome makes it special here. Do you like the bunyip? Is that what Ryan townleys boards are?
