Damn this shape looks wonderful, how you feeling about it so far? Would love to see a top pic

I like it. When your riding it it looks like you have a regular popsicle board but then you have the big square tail and it’s benefits. To me mostly it’s tailslides, the feeling of being able to rest your whole foot on the tail can’t be beat. The shape lets you flip your board comfortably too.

I feel the same about a big bunyip I'm waiting to skate next. Super curious about it.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

Second Quasi in a row. Not usually a fan of square-ish tails but i've really enjoyed both Quasi boards I've had. Can see myself going for the same again next time out.

skating is all about choosing your outfit very deliberately, going out in public. looking super sick. and then riding your board a little bit

Man Boardy cakes don't ship to Australia  :(. Who wants to help a brother out?

Send him a message on ebay. He replies quickly and he's a really cool dude... I bet he'll do it for you as long as you cover the cost, but I don't know if it'll be prohibitively expensive. Find out how much it costs and if he's not willing to do it I'll do it for you.

I’ve been slowly getting used to bigger wheels. But damn this dude seems so nice, and the wheels look fun!

I haven’t fully tried them out, but a quick roll in my state room on the ship they feel nice and smooth. I’m gonna give them a shot in a day or so when I can find time to get off the ship. There’s a skatepark I wanna check out nearby in Bayonne, NJ

What's up with Spitfires looking like troff lollies from the get go?

I hate it when my wheels go yellow.

I kinda stick to Bones cause they will be white as fuck for the whole time.

Almost too white though. Need something in the middle. This could just be my OCD with things though. When I had multiple sets of wheels I kept them in the fridge. Good ole Rodney Mullen wheel hack.

I actually keep my sitting in a tub of butter (real butter, not margarine).  Before skating, I saute them with a little salt, pepper and rosemary.  Perfectly seasoned for powerslides

this made me think of the time i used vegetable oil to make a totally fucked bearing work again. yeah, i had neither a replacement bearing nor any kind of machine oil. desperate times... it worked for the time being, that is until two days later when i got new bearings.

Back on this Politic I got not too long ago, but stopped skating for no reason in particular. Changed shit up again, but this time for good. It's been years since I rode Indy's and after cruising on these the other night I don't know why I stopped; they're great and just feel right. The tablets are very nice as well.

Politic RN 8.25
Indy 144 Reynolds Hollows
F4 54mm Tablet shape
Bones "Big Balls"
Jessup

Jano slips that I will hopefully get to break in this afternoon.

I really like the look of those tablets - debating between those or lock ins for my next set of wheels.

Like them shooting out from under you like say during a back 50 before you had a chance to pop out?

My last attempt at going low, wide and short didn't quite work out, it was low enough (and those 50mm were fucking slow) but the 8.37 honestly felt like an 8/8.25, it just didn't have that 'fat couch' feeling I wanted.

8.5 Krooked Worrest (it was either this or Grimple, KRKD = I, Grimple = IV, went with steep and deep)
Venture TI 5.8" stock
52mm Bones V3
Bones Big Balls
M-80
Allen bolts of some brand...
Adidas 3ST.003

Ventures are still a bit stiff/new, loosend half a turn from stock; less turny than stock Indy, more turny than stock Thunder, so no change there. Stock bushings feel mediumish, they have a translucent look to them, much like Bones/Mini logo bushings do. After they break in, I doubt I'll swap them as they feel fine out of the gate. Really hyped on breaking them in.

Fatcouch success! It's comfortable as fuck - spent a year forcing myself on smaller setups with wider wheels that never felt right. Live and re-learn.

I had a great first session on the girl hello kitty deck I had. Then shit just went down hill. I broke the baseplate around the pivot cup on my destructos magnesium trucks. I gripped over the bolts because I was starting to like it. so it was a pain in a ass to change trucks. When to my old standard destructo D2. Hit up destructo about the "lifetime warranty" embossed on the top of the baseplate and they did not respond. On top of that crupie had sent me the wrong wheels when I ordered them. They are 1mm wider and just not the graphic I ordered. Right size though. 101A just isn't hard enough for me. Add little skate madness and here I am with a new setup

Ice Cream 8.25
Venture 5.8
53 Bones STF V5
Bones Swiss
IDK what hardware this is.
Grizzly grip.

Exactly - kind of freaky.
