My last slave had that ply pattern which was bbs.

Here’s my new and old (g027) they kinda have the same shape pointy tail fuller nose
917 8.25x32x14.19
Ace 44 rally green stock
Old 54 f4 conical full 101
Swiss
Mostly modus hardware

those green ace’s! 😍😍😍😍
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

Sept yeah? I wonder who is going to put out his Big Boy? I'll likely grab at least one.

Yep, it's out in september.  not sure who is releasing it though.   I'll be stocking up on them

I hope grimple puts this out.

Thanks man; It's clunky and fun to skate
This is my current "normal" setup that I skated for all of 15 minutes before giving myself a shin splint this afternoon. I'm trying to grind through the axle before giving myself a Christmas complete, but it's taking longer than it used to. That's not such a bad thing though

ive ground down to the axel on thunder hollows and didn’t find the bar. I don’t know why but I didn’t, and I destroyed the thunders I had. Maybe the hollows don’t have the bar? Can someone confirm?

The Quasi Proto has kinda small kicks actually-definitely a smaller nose. I've had a bunch of the 8.25s and they're less steep than other Quasis.

I actually really enjoyed them with Ace's, might setup one with Thunders soon.

Definitely not the case with this one. I’ve had plenty of quasis and this is definitely the steepest by far. The shapes vary pretty dramatically between the 8.25s and
the 8.5s. Put my Indy’s on and it actually balanced it out quite nicely. Loving this one.

I'm planning on setting up my 8.375 Quasi shape soon and am kind of bummed on the shape.  I've rode the 8.25 and 8.5 shape (loved the 8.5 with Ace 44's) and got this shape on a whim.  It's definitely lacks the square-ness in the nose and tail, which I loved, and I'm trying to figure out if I want to run my Indy Ti 149's or Ace 44's.

My only saving grace is that I haven't skated in 6 days, which at 35 feels like getting through a whole winter.

Had the same experience with the 8.375 quasi.  Also, you'll notice that it actually measures 8.25 over the trucks

Quasi 8.5 (14.25wb)
Ace 44
Spitfire Conical Full 56mm 99a
Bronson Raw
Shorties

I skated about 6 Quasi’s back to back when they first came out, loved the shape. For some reason stopped buying them. Had some crazy madness this past month jumping from 10” shapes to 8” popsicles, decided to go back to my old ways because if it ain’t broken don’t fix it. Super weird getting used to the big full square shape again, and the Aces make the kicks feel HUGE. Might go to my Thunders to help with that. Not sure. Good to be back on one though. Been eyeing it for a minute.

How bad are your wheel bites without risers?

With Aces, literally none at all and I ride them pretty loose. I have thunders on it now and had to go back to 54mm because I’m not used to that much wheelbite, but they do feel pretty good. I skate a lot of tranny though and don’t see many other people skating thunders on tranny so not sure if I’ll find a reason why or not but so far so good.

But it's not consistent any more.  If you take the 8.5 quasi, measure over the front trucks (without pressing) it's 8.5.  Same with an 8.6 wknd that I have.  Other shapes/sizes (like the 8.375) they measure with the concave

How do you like the Modus? I literally just had the blues in my cart and at the last minute took them out and bought Hard Luck 6 balls instead and I'm already thinking I'm going to regret it. Are they better than Reds?

they've been consistently good and last a long ass time. i usually switch them up every year and give away my old ones to friends because they still work great. highly recommend them.

Motherfucker. These 6 balls have really good reviews too but I've wanted to try Modus for a long ass time. Which ones are you skating? Do you think there's any appreciable difference between say the blues and the 7's?
