Third session on the 8.25 bledsoe acid ply and this happened on a switch front pop (bunted it after a line). Board was great while it lasted tho but I will stay away from PS stix for a while.

I'm normally against vibing and the like but Idk anymore with these perved out anime kids. Now I think we need to go back to robbing kids boards at gunpoint if they show up to the spot. Wheres young Stevi

Youre not wrong. That trick is terrifying for me. I needed to do the line of tricks before to force myself to commit.

Yeah Steve that’s a good one. And when did you start skating Venture?!  :o

A lot of nice rigs on the last few pages.

I still go back and forth on trucks all of the time but 6.1s are great.  Nice turn and incredibly stable. I just wish they were hollow to lighten them up a bit

My Brown Bomber came with a sticker that says 32 Length. Did they make it shorter now? I love that board.

Mine was stickered at 32" but was most definitely 31.75". First time I've had an DLX sticker be wrong.

thinking of getting a Toy Machine 8.5 Fists. How would it compare to the Quasi Proto 8.5? should i expect mellower concave and pointier kicks?
[close]

I've got a 8.5 Toy Machine black fists here as a wall board. Measurements on site is something like 8.5 x 32.38 with 14.375. True measure 8.6 back truck, 8.46 front. Every thing else is true. PS stix, very very flat, large wide tail and pointy'ish nose. Think i like it and wanna try sometime. I know they have an 8.5, 14.25 to that has the square nose and tail type ps stix shapes. Think it might be the red 8.5 fists
[close]

Thx for the reply homie. That’s interesting cus I ordered the black fists from Tum Yeto cause it had a 14.25wb in the description. I guess I’ll see when I get it. If it’s not pointy I guess I’m getting a flatter proto? excited either way

quoting myself here but got the Toy Machine black fists and yes the sticker says 14.38 as opposed to the 14.25 on the website. not a big deal gonna try it out anyway.

cross posting from the big board thread;

Rick Howard Skull of Fame 9.25x32x13.875 (I think it's the Powerslide shape)
Matte black 55s
F4 classic 101a 56mm

It's the widest board i've ever owned by a long shot, but the shape feels tiny.  the aces pull it in super tight, i don't know if i like that yet, pretty keen to get a proper skate in on it

Oooh was looking at picking up that exact deck on the crailstore sale, and I have Ace 55s to put on it.  Was concerned that there might be too much hot rod going on, but that doesn’t look too bad there.

I was AWAKE from a young age so I'm still getting used to heavy trucks that I can wheel bite on command. The surfieness feels nice though.

Sweet man. Please post it up in here, wanna see want it look like gripped and give some down low on the shape if possible?

I'm in a bit of a pickle, snapped my 8.25 AW, got a girl 8.25 but wanna try another krooked 8.06 full but gave my 139s away to some kid so first have to order a new set of trucks. I had 149 on the AW but thats to big for a 8.06 full right? Madness getting to me.

Best option would be the 8.5 black fists and 149s but damn it looks good on the wall. Or the girl.....

How is the brown bomber? Thinking of getting it to replace my blue meanie to try the shorter wheelbase.

Fixer 8.5 (14.25 wheelbase) measures a little closer 8 3/8".
Ace 44s, stock bushings, extra washers on inside
55mm/99a Tablets
Six Balls bearings

Smallest board I've set up in about a year. No risers also for the first time in a long time.

How are the aces with 55s and no risers? I usually keep it 51-53, kind of want to go up w/o risers. I bc weigh 190 so I don't know if that's going to be bad or not.

Only done the inside carpet test but it seems fine. Wheels are probably closer to 54mm at this point as I had them on a previous deck. Wider board and/ or wider trucks would result in significant wheel bite on 55mms for sure. I'm just under  200lbs and this combo has worked for me in the past. I will no doubt get some wheel bite but I don't mind it a little as it makes me try to land better. ha ha....

AH Raney 8.12” x 31.38” 14” WB III on the press
Thunder 147 with black Indy bushings
Spitfire F4 classic 53mm 99du
Reds
Mob M80

Stoked to try out a new shape. Been on the 8.28” x 31.7” 14.12” WB kick for about a year. Stoked to support Raney as well. Can’t bring myself to try something other than BBS.

Curious about how tall you are/foot size; I struggled to get the 8.28x31.7 AH shape to work for me (5'10" / Size 10)

I’m 5’7”/ Size 9. There are definitely two separate molds for the 8.28” shape. The first one I bought was the Kanfoush shit-canned construction deck and it had way more mellow concave and kicks than a classic eagle 8.25. I had Indy 144 hollows on it at first and had ghost pop. I put risers on it and it made a huge difference (running 52mm tablets at the time). Then I put a set of Thunders on it and it was like a whole different ball game, way snappier. I have another 8.28 (pumping feathers graphic) and it feels way more like a classic eagle. I am running the Indy 144 hollows on that with no risers (same 52mm tablets) with way better results than the previous one. I never started messing with truck configurations until Ben Degros came along with all his knowledge. I am curious about this Raney deck and maybe trying out some Ventures on it. Definitely loving the Thunders though. Actually prefer the Indy bushings on the thunders and religiously run the bones hard bushings on Indy’s.

Riding my 55's w/o risers atm - no problems. Just put a bit of wax where you're worried about wheelbite as a precaution.

8.5 Toy Machine (love this shape)
Film 6.0 (155mm) with old Bones hard bushings top/bottom no washer bottom
Swiss
SC Slimeballs Vomits 56mm 97a (no risers)
Modus allen head hardware

Have been really digging strapping my board to my bike and riding everywhere to skate.  Curbs and the skatepark.  It's all within about a 4 mile radius from my home.  47yrs old and too fat, hoping to shed about 30lbs by November.  Feel like I'm 14 again, just way fatter...and bald.
