awesome..u've climbed lhotse peak in the khumbu region?
[close]

No, I chose 'Lhotse' because 'Chomolungma' is a too many syllables. ;D At one time after I got out of the Army when I climbed a LOT I would have, except I've never had the $60-70,000.00 plus traveling expenses to attempt climbing the Himalayas but I DID summit Denali(Mt McKinley) in Alaska one year and The Three Sisters in Oregon and Mt Hood, Mt St Helens and Mt Rainer one summer. I'm 58 now and I can't trust my knees to carry me all the way through something like that anymore, so I gave up climbing but I still skate and ski like a maniac.  8)

dats awesome man..i went on a solo trek in Nepal and did a multiday winter trek in December 2018 to January 2019..The Annapurna Circuit Trek & Annapurna Base Camp is such a beautiful trek.fairly easy for solo trekker. next plan would be Sagarmatha, to Everest Base Camp..maybe will try Mera Peak / Island Peak since its within the same conservation area.

Never mind, after digging around a bit it looks like they must be Welcome rails (based on the 4 screws).

mattdlx posted about it in the WBSWB and I figured they probably knew what they were talking about. I got it from Cowtown but I think they just got their stuff up earlier than most and there will be more out there soon.

Been skating a Baker Figgy B2 for a while but wanted to try something just a bit smaller and in the AH line. Even though it's not that much smaller it definitely feels like it's a short pointy stump on the miniramp coming from the B2. Very nice for street/flat tho. Went back to the Figgy for mini. :-)

Dane 1
Ace AF1 66s
60mm 97a slime balls
quantums
bronze
mob

Decided to try another dane 1 on a whim after having an awful experience on my last one, and I'm happy I did. I'm having a much better time with it this time around. Also the slime balls are sick; good slide, fast, and roll over everything. I know why nick and dane ride them so much now.

Also a kid at the spot came up to me and said he liked my style :)

How are the quantums, are they the metallics or ceramics? Was reading through the quantum thread earlier.

This board has the Isotopes, the white ball ceramic ones. I've been riding them for like 6-7 months and I'm very happy with them. I bought them when I was still in the US, so they were like $45 or around there, and I'd say they're definitely the best bearing in their price bracket.

Full disclosure: I'm from the same town that both the dudes went to school, so they're kinda hometown heroes. As such, I have affection for them beyond their performance that might color my perception.

Primitive 8.25×31.97×14
Venture 5.8 HI standard
52 f4 classics
Reds

The dimensions on this board are perfect for venture trucks. All my tricks feel so much easier and I love it. I'm going to stick with this for a while.

So fucking hot.  Are the Ti 169s worth it?  I was back and forth on ordering some, but got the Hollow Forged instead cuz less dollars.
[close]

Honestly? Probably not worth the increase in price over forged hollows but if trucks last you a year+ then $30 extra bucks isnt a huge amount.

When I go 159 + I just go hollow forged as the weight savings for a board that big is never going to make a difference and the cost is overkill. Diminishing returns at that point. However, I don't skate big boards on the regular/as a main ride, if I did, I might consider TI all the time time.

But, if ya got the dolla bills y'all.

Krooked 8.38 Manderson shape
Venture 5.6, cast plates and ti hangers
53 F4 Classic now 52
Swiss 6
Silverados

So far so good. A bit steeper than my preferred BBS shapes, but not quite as much as the Polar 8.25

still getting used to it. it's definitely steeper than im used to and pop is good. I felt like I was over-popping into things at first. I need 3-5 sessions on a setup to really draw conclusions. It feels a lot like the Hockey 8.38 and my normal preference is for a bit flatter.

Black Label 8.5" x "32.3" x 14.5"
Spitfire F4 CF 53MM 101D
Indy 149 Forged Standard (forged base plate with standard hangar)
Mob Grip

Already had a 40 minute flat sesh on it yesterday before the rain. The 101D definitely feel harder and more slide-ey than 99D. Didn't think it would be that noticeable at first but I guess so.
