Before I break into this stack of DOA boards I got, setting this up. Feels stiff but not heavy, really like it.

Magenta 8.6 14.5WB
Thunder 151 w/ 95a blue bushings and flat top washers
54mm Spit F4 97a CF
Big Balls

This grip is very satisfying

Nice, I skated the 48mm Bigheads years ago and I've also messed around with all the Boardy Cakes including the 46mm. I like to mix it up but I always go back to 52mm Spits.

Yea I’m running the 46er Boardy cakes on my other setup but usually ride the spits to roll slightly faster

It’s never for me the most enjoyable part breaking in a completely new setup, a couple weeks and we should be golden, now for the rain to stop

From the big boards thread:

Heroin 9.25”
Indy Ti 169s with Riptides
Loophole 56 mm
Mob
Swiss

Biggest popsicle shape I’ve skated.  I’ll probably go back to the Dane 1 zone afterwards but I wanted to switch it up for a bit and keep riding the same wheel/truck combination.

Yeah this is proper good! How you find the loopholes? Tempted to try a set on my big board.

Definitely worth trying on your setup.  They don’t slide as well as F4s but they roll fast and are nice and wide (the 54mm Loopholes I have are as wide as 58mm Spitfire OG classics).  Really good shape and a smaller brand.

8.5 shop board (my first 8.5 in a while, coming from 8.25) I dig it!
5.8 V Lights with bones hards on the bottom and stock top. Small washer on top. Loose yet stable.
50mm Darkrooms. I like the bark and they roll decent but I’ll go back to F4 when these melt away.
Dusty old bearings
Putting on some bolts from a local deal called Neverbolts

Currently on the evisen 8.25 and its 14wb 31.5 long. Feels shorter due to the kicks though

Very short with medium kicks mellow concave, small nose and tail, straight rails, 1.5 fingers of flat, if i had to guess, dont have it in front of me. Got a love hate relationship with it.

Had on it with Thunders teams 148s, ace af1 55 and now indy 149Ti. Sometimes its been perfect and sometimes impossible. Wood has been great though.

Only got my staples really down on it recently but have had a lot of fun on it, with all truck combos. If you wanna try short boards its a good way to go. Just a head up, its very short, if you are used to "normal" length boards.

I'm glad i tried it

Dunno if I've posted this one before but I just got another box of DOA castaways so it's probably going to get swapped at some point in the near future. She's been very good to me as usual, there's just something about this setup that feels like home.

Love both of these! I've been so tempted by the Dane1 but ended up going with a 91 jr as got scared by the big boy!

What do you tend to skate with the Dane?

Switched the 159s to the Polar 8.75.  Local was out of conical fulls so I grabbed these Bones 56 V6 in 99, popped the shields on some big balls and here we go

New Rowans too, looking forward to rolling around on this!  Haven't ridden a wheel bigger than 54 in years.
