I have some old ventures so if I come across the new bushings I’ll give em a try. Thanks @yourbreakfsat

No idea why it's taken me so long to realise that this is my go to set-up.

Krooked 8.5 with the 8.25 wb
149 thunders with new medium thunder bushings
54mm SML Arnolds. Second set of these. Probably my last set but still fun.
1/8 Risers
Vans.

I've been skating Last resorts for a while. Gone through my 4th pair and just don't want to keep having to rip insoles out and for the soles to keep wearing so quick.

Always seem to skate my best in vans and they're always available on sale. Time to go back.

Good on ya. i know deep down i'm a thunder guy and i should just skate them as long as i live, but somehow i always succumb to the allure of turning (indy/ace)

Cream eagle is a beaut. Wish they made it in the 8.38 shape and maybe I wouldn't ever buy a different board.

Spread my ashes on a lightly skated cream eagle with a dark bottom ply.

Beautiful setup. As for skating it, I think it's what PSpliff would've wanted. Now go bomb a nice hill with it!

top view?
sorry, didn't see this til just now.  I think it's just the standard BBS/generator 8.75 shape, 8.75 x 32.5 x 14.75wb, which lines up with a bunch of other BBS decks out there now. Full-ish nose and tail but not totally squared like Quasi or FA/Hockey

That shape looks nice.

Definitely was. If I had some big trucks I’d make one of my own.

I’m pretty sure that I may trade up some 44 classic I got for some big trucks so I can

- Habitat Imaginary Beings II Fred Gall, 8 x 31.625 x 14
- Indy hollow forged 139s
- Santa Cruz Slimeballs 97a 53mm
- Bones risers 1/8
- Riptide pivot cups
- Random bearings
- Jessup grip I believe

Snow is finally gone (for six months anyway), so time for a fresh deck. In the past, I've had good luck with a Habitat board bearing the same dimensions, so hopefully this one works out. Concave is pretty mellow but not flat, same with the kicks. Nose is a bit more squarish and larger, which is good for me b/c I want to work on noseslides. Love the graphic as well; I have the same board in my collection.

I set the Indys up in April on a different board and they feel great so far, no complaints. I haven't had Indys in years but based on the lightness of these hollows combined with their look and grind made me interested. The stock bushings are doing what they should.

Wheels are great too - I wanted a 97a white wheel and these fit the bill.

Hopefully for my next setup I've got some Bones swiss. Also contemplating buying some 101a Loopholes, spoiling myself.

So sick.

Built a filmer board, but I'm sure that I'll throw on hard wheels and make it my main sometime down the line.

Anti-Hero Eagle 8.5" x 31.8" with 14.25" wheelbase
Venture 5.8 Hi with Loose Trucks Conversion Kit bushings
Powell Peralta G-Slides 56mm 85a (going to swap these out for Bones ATFs when I can)
Bones Swiss
Jessup
Indy 1" hardware
REAL Venture wooden 1/8" risers

Dude you win the internet.

I love this set up.

I flicked another skatepark homie board.

I cannot believe I missed these. I told him about the history of the graphic and expressed my deep love for toa and true east skateboarding

I had a glue board with those same dimensions, so I’m assuming same shape. One of the best boards I’ve had in the last 5 years.

Yup, these 8.5 Quasi decks are something else. I've had multiple and they were all amazing.

Accidently ordered the wrong size board, but I don’t hate it.

I think their doing dsm only because the invoice said expoxy resin deck, although I’ve had custom boards from them that were prime, pstix and with no markings.

8.0 ccs custom (my wife ‘99 baseball photo)
Thunder 144s
Darkroom 52mm 99a
I’m riding assorted random bearings because I’m in Costa Rica and I originally thought I’d just leave it behind

This is better than drooling at a css back in the day as of late.

That pic turned out really well for a graphic.

Sometimes I am amazed at some of the great looking boards that people have done with their own pics - be it also that they look like they are part of a series from any given mainstream brand or just have a classic take too them that everyone can appreciate.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.
