This shape looks super fun, nose/tail look long. Are they mellow too? Does anyone have recommendations for boards with a ~8.5 width/normal wheelbase, but long mellow nose and tail. Not as fussed about the concave but prefer flatter all thing being equal...

Funny seeing powell popsicle decks. When I think powell, it's shaped/old school cuts.
The wood is probably phenomenal and I also can't get myself to ride it.

Had kind of a weird session last night so naturally I blamed my set up. Time for a re rack. I wanted something a little shorter with a smaller WB and this Athem shape fit the bill
8.88x 31.75 with a 14” Wb
Thunder 149
Sml Tom Knox V-Cut AG formula
Quantum Metallics
Bender 7/8 Allen
Jessup ultra…
Still debating on skating the Larb CM003
Since my Vm001 highs are getting floppy.

Loved me some low pros, sadly only old stock floating around these days - been a minute since they've done a run.

How's that metal? Never any local to step on - shape remind you of anything you have ridden before?

Metal uses either the Alien shapes or the Quasi shovel nose BBS shapes. I've seen a few in person/the owner told me that on IG.

I love the metal 8.25 shovel shape. big nose, like quasi & fa/hockey but not as steep. alien/habitat have the same or similar shape I believe. 31.82 x 14.13

It is only the one much longer board that has the longer wheelbase, so stay away from that one and you are good.

All the rest are the usual 14.25 wb or even 14.12 for one of them, from the catalog info, or so I thought.

https://www.metalskateboards.com/products/metal-induction-8-25

METAL INDUCTION 8.25

Dimensions
8.25 X 33.5, 15.25" Wheelbase

The LongBoy is the shape developed in 1995 and Fred Gall rode in Timecode (1997). This highly sought after shape was custom made for Fred & the Metal crew and never available for sale to the public until now.

This one is the Swamp Thing:

https://www.metalskateboards.com/products/fred-gall-swamp-thing-8-25

Dimensions
8.25 X 31.82, 14.13" Wheelbase
Fred's custom shovel shape with the muck monster himself

Dimensions
8.5 X 31.941, 14.25" Wheelbase

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.
