Antihero Brian Anderson Toasted 9.25" x 32.25". Listed 14.43" wheelbase but I measured 14.38".
Independent 159 with hollow axle and Indy 92a barrel bushings.
Spitfire F4 Radial Full 58mm 97a
Quantum Atom Bearings
Indy 1" hardware
MOB
Thunder 1/8" risers

Debated putting black rails on this but then realized I don't want to deal with bending the rails to the shape of the board and the installation.

Damn, this setup looks fine. Is that a blue and orange top stain? Or did you paint it orange yourself? Looks hella cool.

Thank you, it's a brown top stain but the lighting is making it shine more.

Real 8.38 sized down from an 8.5 which had such a "sluggish" response from flip tricks

Nice!

Sitting on the same stack of boards here including a couple more of the Tanner and a few of these white ovals.

Was that the blue oval 8.5 you were talking about?  Interesting but at least now you know what the shorter shape feels like as well.  Some people love them, but some prefer the longer 8.38 (which is wider through the back end anyway).
[close]

yeah it was that blue one! it was really good for slides and grinds but I really didn't like the wheelbase.

I think the 8.38 Tanner is the same shape as the white oval OG logo

Yep. same 8.38 shape, 32.25 long with 14.5 wb on them.  It almost seems to be the most common or one of the most common boards that DLX do now, with so many from every brand, every drop kind of thing, so you should never be short of options with that one, if that is the one you are liking the feel of anyway.

It comes in that white oval for Real, the army green eagle for AH and the plain eyes on an assortment of nice stains for Krooked, as the stapes, then every other special one off or series graphic for each brand in each run too.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

8.4 Ruben Spelta's Swan Magenta
5.85 Polster Titan stage VII (local brand, they skate like Venture Highs and Thunder had a baby)
x97 Bones wheels
Axles are slipped AF so have some bearings with built-in spacers cranked down hard so nothing binds (I tried the included Bones Spacers, but the alloy become collapsed and squashed causing binding).

Continuing the bird theme; Pepper plastered with the droppings of many feathered friends.

The perfect setup for silent skating in Swabia.

Well I was going to guess Hoffenheim, due to the 1899 on the paper...but I dont believe they're either a city or in Bavaria. So let's go with the "easy" guess of Munich.

My guess is Wangen im Allgäu and the newspaper could be Die Schwäbische.

Venture 5.6 Kader hollows that I polished

Unfortunately the nose is very steep on this one and the photo distorts it a bit.

Indy 169’s worn in bones med bushings spitfire ff 99 classics 52mm but probably about 48mm now,
random bearings came with the trucks
Random bolts,
Jessup and modus grip

How do the Bones compare to stock Venture bushings? Tighter, looser, mess with the general lean/feel.

My dirty carpet and I are back again with another one.
Tactics 9.125” shaped board, I drilled the nose holes back 3/4” so that the nose is slightly bigger than the tail, I think the wheelbase is like 13 3/4” now. I might’ve drilled it too far back but fuck it we’ll see how it goes.

[close]

I just bought this same board, got it on sale.
I like the shape. I’m used to a 33, though, so I’ve been feeling a little knock kneed (probably in my head)
As far as I can tell, it is the same board Anti Hero sells as the genius.
The Genius is more piggy and has a 14.25wb. I think this deck is a generic BBS shape that Darkroom also used to put out regularly. The Pass Port Spade is maybe the same shape as well.

I'm pretty sure this set up is the same shape. 303 had it listed as a 9" but you see it a lot as a shaped shop deck. Nice 90's shape that feels a lot like what Jeremy Klein was putting out in that era.

quicker, deeper turn, imo. all of my experience, with bones in ventures, is on the lo’s, with either the mediums or the hards. with bones bushings i used the provided flat top washer, and no bottom washer. with 50s i could turn way more than i wanted too

i use the stock bushings with ventures now, out of preference.

Been holding on to this deck for a year. Figured now would be a good time to set it up 🎃👻

Also trying out the TyShawn Remastered. They fit better than the old ones, but they aren’t good enough to sway me away from my NB# 480s 🤤

Specs:

8.5 Welcome Evil Twin
Pepper Grip
Spitfire RF 54 Kader Puffs (love ‘em)
Bones Swiss 6

i’m not into indys, but 159s are real real decent. if 129s/139s felt like 159s, i’d be into em.

They’re kinda heavy but they’re really great for the rougher parks locally without going like 97a (these are 99)
I think the classic rounder edge I prefer really but radial works

I’ll get some pics of risers/kingpin when I’m off work
