Blank check “90’s shape” (8.5 top bolts, 8.75 middle, 8.25 bottom bolts, 14.25 WB)
AF1 44’s with hollow KP
54mm F4 OG classics
Pepper
Silverados
Reds
Santa Cruz slim rails

Really loving this setup. One of the best board shapes I’ve ever ridden. Blank check is owned by Ryan Gallant. I believe they’re pressed by clutch

Unfortunately the shipping would be way too much to get one of these to England but I just realised, this is very similar if not exactly the same as the 8.75 Jacuzzi deck! Might have to pick one up because this looks fun!

Oh damn that’s true about shipping, I wonder if Ryan gallant can figure out something on his end to make them more available? I’m pretty sure he runs everything out of his garage so that’s gotta be tough. I think chocolates “couch” shape may be similar as well, been meaning to try one of those

Shorty's Silverado's, 1"
Make sure you put 1" hardware in Thunder Team trucks. 7/8" won't be long enough.

Not true.

@chaosisme I didn't liked the Jacuzzi eggs (both in 8.375 and 9.125) but if you want a 8.75/31.85/14 you can try the egg that Player offers. Tail is more square -ish than egg and shipping is free

Did you do the jacuzzi egg with 8.25 or 8in trucks? I think the smaller truck is the key to making it work, but  I didn’t want to buy a new set of trucks to find out.

The 8.375 I had it with 8.25 trucks (AF-1 44) and the 9.125 with 8.5 (AF-1 55).
Didn't like either but the AF-1 55 work great with the player egg 8.75/31.85/14

I wasn’t interested in trying any of those sizes but the 8.75 seems to be exactly the same dims as what dad board has up there so I’m definitely going to try it out!

From a guy who's been riding the Couch shape from Girl/Chocolate for a few years now, the Blank Check board is very similar but probably more like the Girl/Chocolate "Loveseat" - which is just a narrower (9" wide instead of 9.25" the couch is.)  -I ride a couch, my good homie rides the loveseat and they're both rad!  Highly recommend both of you try them out!

Oh damn that’s true about shipping, I wonder if Ryan gallant can figure out something on his end to make them more available? I’m pretty sure he runs everything out of his garage so that’s gotta be tough. I think chocolates “couch” shape may be similar as well, been meaning to try one of those

Hows the ace/slappy combo? any benefits that riding them stock don't give you? also if you have specs (height, weight, wheelbase, etc) that would be great

It’s an experiment that I just put together, haven’t skated it yet. Will have to get back to you.

The goal is to hopefully split the difference between the slappy and the af-1 in both weight and turn/stability.

Oh and the slappys grind WAY better which I wanted.

had to drill new holes to make this work, kinda fkd it up lol
not sure why i wanted to set this up but this guy at work hooked me up with this jank board and wanted to set these Wheels up on something again. they had these like 65mm wheels on there
i like how these trucks have the copers on there. i already have an idea for a spot i want to hit with this with some really poilished concrete that is high bust i might be able to grind it. they probbly have like grade 1 kingpins though so i gotta be careful riding these things. completely blank.

I love the way they grind, super smooth and it's almost 'sharp' somehow; was your slappy plate not hollow?

Yeah! The first thing I did on them was a front slash and which inadvertently turned into a front 5-0 and went for a foot or two instead of just quick slash and back in. And ledges are equally improved over the af-1 grind.

Slappy plates were standard IKP.

Btw, the experiment was successful. They skate closer to AF-1 than Slappy turn-wise. Love it. Not quite the stability midpoint between the two I hoped for but that was a minor part. I mostly just wanted an AF-1 with a better grind…and I got it
