My friends do this smaller company and gave me a board to try. I really like the shape. I managed to fuck up the threads on one of my axles from skating and then I really fucked them up using one of those Ace rethreaders. I swapped in an old front hanger for now but I’m still salty about it

Sci-Fi 8.38 on its final legs so i decided to switch it up and try out this Welcome deck I was gifted by a coworker who's siblings with a Welcome pro lol (hopefully being this personal doesn't expose anything. major shoutout to u if u see this)

Board - Welcome like 8.75ish? at the middle idek
Trucks - Ace 44s I've had for almost 4 years lol
Wheels - Mini Logo 53mm I got nearly 4 years ago lol

Just gonna mess around with this setup til I rack up some more bread and eventually get some 8.5 trucks and hopefully some Spits that'll last me awhile. Will probably reuse a GX 8.6 I still have cuz I just can't justify a totally new setup cuz I suck. but the idea of a new complete definitely gets me juiced up so I might say fuck it.

You can put one or two extra speed rings on the inside of the Ace 44 to make it functionally a 8.5 truck. Just did it myself and it works wonders although I noticed that I've come to like the hoverboard feel of just the one speed ring. It's harder to get into grinds but flips easier because of the leverage.

The shape on the Welcome is cool. I kind of want to try one out but for some reason don't want to commit to a shape on my main ride right now.

Thats such a dope deck!!! Aaron Wilson is such an ill skater and the egg shape is amazing. I think I might have to get it if it's still available when I travel the next month to Texas even though I have a deck on ice  and recently set-up deck as my cruiser/filmer board.

I've been sizing down lately in an attempt to get my flat ground and ledge/manny game back. 1 session in and everything thing is feeling good.

Side note: One annoying thing I found with the 1" Ace hollow hardware is if you run a 1/8th riser the nylock on the nuts won't engage so I swapped out the nuts for the low profile nuts from a set of Shorty's lights.
