A Quasi egg @BartHarleyJarvis donated to me(that I painted over)
Indys that are nearing the axle from cross locked bs slaps
A mix of Hard Luck 6 balls and Black Panther bearings
Spitfire 56 mm tablets from @big_kev_215
Shortys Silverados
Aluminum .090 risers I made

For my first egg, this board is fun as shit. I had the Jawn Gardener @pugmaster gifted me that had a short wheelbase and it was a good time too. It's casual

Damn I left my bubbler at my parents house

Set up a dedicated curb board. Despite my age, I have been resistant to shaped boards and rails. But this has been fun so far.

Sick-- I thought about getting that one but probably too small for me as I'm pretty used to the regular alien 8.75 with bigger kicks.  I'm going to go for a larger shaped alien board next

It definitely skates like a smaller board; even less bulky than the AWS standard 8.25. Made it super fun to throw around. But if you are used to a full 8.75 shape, this would be a massive departure.

Krooked 9.02 x 32.2 x 14.34
Thunder 161
Spitfire 93a radial 56mm
Reds
Pepper

Was curious about the “anchor” shape, looks nice and full, albeit a bit shorter than my preference, should be fun. Just gotta wait for the rain to stop. Wish it had wheel wells.

Coming off bones x99 (v5) for the last 3 months, keen to get back in some spits, the x99 are a great wheel, but seemed to get gummier the older they got, didn’t age as well as spitfire 99a which seem to get better with age imo. X99 for sure feel softer too.

Setting up a new deck this morning, the same old Magenta 8.4 shape
Stage VII Polster (local German truck brand)
Bones x99 or maybe they're the x97's, I forget
SKF Alexis Sablone bearings
Pepper

I've been riding the same gear for the past year, it feels consistent and comfy.

what about Polster Trucks?

They're nice, they turn better than Ventures but are less wheel-bitey than Thunders. They're nearly half the cost of both Venture and Thunder in Europe and have a pretty cool team. They also stand behind their product, comparable to DLX or NHS

I'm coming from an 8.38 GX1000. The Violet has a very full/square shape similar to FA however the kicks aren't steep at all, more similar to the GX1000. I really enjoyed the GX1000 and this feels like a fuller version of it.

Pretty sure it had the BBS warning sticker. If you enjoyed the GX like I did I think you'll like Violet. Aside from the slightly fuller shape they feel almost identical
