Time Crisis on a PS Stix 8.5 x 33 with a 15.5 wheelbase
Indys
Spits that were 54mm and are probably 50mm now
Jessup and Pepper scraps

This board is a mess.
[close]

how’s the 15.5 wb?
this board looks very good, real real decent.
[close]
Just rolled around on it in the bowl nearby, its going to take a little getting used to for sure. Overall I think it'll be fun, its got a mellow concave so it'll be good on transition and curbs. Felt pretty dialed in pumping some corners on this wheelbase compared to the 14.25-14.5  I'm used to

The artwork is awesome, I dig it.

I don’t know if what I’ve been told and what I’ve heard about edge Lord is 100% true, but I’ve heard that the company itself is nothing more than a money laundering scheme that supports the IDF. I’ve also heard it’s a cryptocurrency. Not a big fan of either of those things.
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

Not sure if anyone asked before, but is the 8.5 short shape TTS? Or is it closer to 8.375 like the standard 14.25 WB shape?

I seem to recall someone in the DLX Shapes thread saying this board was definitely 8.5 wide, but I can't recall if it was the BBS or the other option for woodshop, even though they both should be the exact same shape and width.

And yes the blue eagle shape - 8.5 x 31.85 with 14.25 wb is really 8.3 or so and tapers a lot, whereas the Taxi graphic board stayed 8.5 through the rail.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

I have 2 of them at home right now. They both measure 8.6. A noticeable difference in width to the blue eagle I normally skate.

Trying out an old school setup

Powell peralta per welinder I bought used off eBay
Lurpiv 160 w/ 1/8" risers
Powell Dragon 93s 56mm
old blue spitfire bearings
jessup (I ended up adding some clear grip to the middle section later, I couldn't stand having that big of a section ungripped)

A recent short lived set up from a short trip to NYC. I took the trucks and wheels with me and bought a deck locally. I stuffed the trucks into my running shoes, which worked great and saved a lot of place in my luggage. This was suggested by a Slap user I can't remember but shout-out to this dude.

Labor 8.25 shop deck with free shop grip. First time since years that I have used a non twin deck. I was not feeling comfortable as both nose and tail felt quite large. Anyway, the only purpose was to skate the Brooklyn Banks, which I did (and had a lot of fun). I returned the deck to the shop before leaving so they could give it to a kid.

Indy forged hollows 144
Spitfire F4 probably under 48mm
Bolts and bearings.

I should probably have used bigger wheels for the banks as I did not get very high up on those small wheels but then again, I am riding 52mm wheels now and struggle with ghost pop so I might not have been able to adapt in just one session.

Anyway, shout-out to Labor, nice shop, nice dudes. And shout-out to the dudes at the banks encouraging my mediocre attempts.

And here's my current set up. 8.25 blank twin from 1st Skateshop. The previous one lasted 6 months because it felt good and I did not want to change it...
Indy forged hollows 144
Spitfire F4 53mm (biggest wheel I have ever used on a street set up since 1991)
Bones Super 6 Swiss
Miles
Bolts

Still getting used to the big wheels but loving the increased speed.

Back on my usual shit after skating Indy’s and smaller boards post severe ankle injury a year ago. Had a session on the old 9 and thunders the other day, and was immediately more comfortable, so picked up the same deck, which was a rather lucky find.

how do you like those adidas Nora shoes? I am finding they pinch my toes to the point i have developed symmetrical blisters on the inside of 2 my toes on both feet. if they didnt do that, they would be perfect otherwise.

One of my favorite shoes, I really loved the Og puig and these are really close. I did go 1/2 size up though. I had 1 pair that had a weird seam on the top of my toes but the other 2 I’ve had didn’t have that problem.
