Keep the NFGs on there, more fun in the power slide dept.
Eh, they’re so sluggish to me now. Maybe I have to swap out the bearings

Some recent ones

1. Primary setup
- prime 8.75” popsicle
- indy 159
- spit f4 60mm worn down to ~58-59
- bones swiss (freshly cleaned and lubricated)
- bearing spacers
- real wood risers 3 ply
- indy slayer collab hardware
- prime free grip

2. My millionth historical recreation setup, this time approx Rubbish Heap to Questionable era
- prime heritage N-25 classic shape (hoping to like this one more, right now i feel like the wheelbase is too short)
- indy stage 4 reissues, the 8.75ish ones
- these are some NFG teardrops that I’ve worn down to like ~47-48mm but I’m probably gonna switch them out for some prime wheels that I’m curious about
- either bones reds or mini logo bearings can’t remember
- i think shorties silverados hardware
- prime free grip
[close]

Any chance of a top shot on the purple one? Looks like a good shape.

That Prime Shape looks rad. Usually when I get a 91 street shape I redrill the WB to 14.25 by moving both ends back a little. def makes them a little more friendly to skate. Had a New Deal Templeton and a Chris Senn powell i did that to both of them and it made a world of difference.
Definitely considering redrilling this, I keep whiffing everything I try on it. Yesterday I got a pretty satisfying back tail on it though, so there’s that. That’s one that doesn’t normally feel very good to me most of the time

Op, you ok man? Being real here, you doin alright?

So this BD skate Co turned out, as expected, to be very shitty Chinese wood.
Tried to skate it today with T2 and still felt like crap.
Wanted to come back to Ace already for a while, never had hollows, and try some black X97 I bought ages ago.
So, obvsly, logic was: "New trucks and wheels, board should be new also" even tho the Polar I skated before holidays was pretty much new but I'll set it up after this one:
Polar Oski short popsicle shape 8.25 x 31.7 x 14
Jessup Ultra
Indy Allen 7/8
Ace Spanky hollow 44
X97 54mm V6
Swiss 6
Trying Japan pros tomorrow and if they don't work for me back to 933.

@dr.prestige & @Mbrimson88 thanks for the top shots. Shape looks great although the sun 14wb I doubt I could deal with. Appreciate the pics/dims.

Always cool to see something like this.

I can't see a yellow board now without thinking it needs a black zig zag across it closer to the back bolts.

Maybe a DIY job from someone else, as well as a few boards, especially an egg shape / early 90s board that had that on it, but I think it is a fun change up for any board to do this on.

Pic of another board for reference:

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

I hate X97, felt like a Toy.
Board was awful for me, shape just didn't worked after 3 days.
Back to the board I set up before holidays that I skated like 3 times and back to my old radial full 54 since all the other stuff I tried didn't seem to work for me.

I had that same n-25 shape multiple times and my favorite was the exact stain you have. it's like a coffee brown mixed with purple depending on how light hits it. the shape and super short wheelbase is so fucking fun. and it's nice and flat. did you just get that recently direct from their site? I tried to ask them what stains they had left but they never responded.

I got a couple of the JKJHNSN guest boards from Ampersand Pound (Scumco). Their site lists them as 8.375, but they are definitely 8.5.

When I first got it, I thought it looked wider, but I put my normal Ace 44s on it like I had for other 8.375 and it was severely magic carpeting. Measured it with a digital ruler and it's totally 8.5.

Just in case anyone cared.
[close]
I too recently purchased a JJ board from &# and noticed the board is wider than advertised. Not a deal-breaker for me; my 149s will fit. The new Pennswood concave looks very nice, looking forward to setting it up.

I just got mine this morning and measured it. It's pretty much dead on 8.375. It looks really nice, I'm hyped to set it up. Don't think I've ever tried Pennswood before.

used to love scumco. what was the wheelbase on this and was it mellow?
