AO "Daddy's Boy" Deck 8.00x31.8
Indys with Indy bushings straight from factory (they work better than the ones that come with)
Spit Classics 53mm, but down to a 50mm or so
Bones Super Swiss 6 (shields popped)
Sk8 Hi's Navy/Blue

I only had fifteen minutes or so on it, but right from the get go I was shocked by the concave. It felt quite close to girl decks of old, flat goodness. If Olson continues putting out boards with this nostalgia concave I'll continue to support.

The shop was out of blanks so I bought this deck for 85 DOLLARS!  It's time that Canadians get a better price on gear.

I needed a board today, not in two weeks.  The question here is why do Canadians pay nearly double for gear?

At the local Vans outlet store, they sell damaged decks (minor scratches to the graphic) and old decks (Arto Saari Flips, Ellington and Greco Bakers, etc.) for $30-40. I got an MJ Chocolate for $40 the other day. It's a pretty basic graphic, it's camo with Chocolate written across the board with his name under the truck, same as most Chocolates.

I'd like to find a vans outlet store then. I think I could deal with a few scratches on my graphic.

8.00 Powell Mini Logo that I got a couple of days ago
Stage 9 Indys w/ some tall ass risers
Ricta 52mm's
Rush abec 5's
Mob grip
Shorty's hardware

And some cheap ass Vans I got from Mervyns. They were only 25 bucks and they looked good so I bought them, didn't really give a shit. Never bothered to check what model they were. Im pretty sure they're Bearcat's or somethin similar to them.

Yeah, I think thats what they are actually. It's pretty funny because a lot of people keep confusing them with TNT IIs at the park. They skate really nice though. seriously some of the department store vans that are out there actually skate pretty damn good and are pretty durable if you can find the right ones.

there was this kid visiting from canada that came by my pad a few weeks ago.
i sold him a deck for $50w/grip and he nearly fainted.
he then grumbled on about how much canadian skateshops suck.

my only guess why its so expensive is shipping and duties/customs fees.
the canadian postal system is kind of f-ed up.
its not even a system since anyone can just open a post office there.

Whoever is charging $95 a deck in canada is swindling everyone. Average price is between $75 and $65.
