He is one of the very few making a living off photography and it's not cause of the skateboarding industry. I envy him to a degree cause he's at least shooting things he cares about rather than having to do corporate jobs for the real paycheck. Unless you call shooting Slam covers a corporate gig.

For a dude who has got to have a million stories, he seems to be uninterested in telling any of them since he said he doesn't want to do Skate related podcasts. Just felt like they scratched the surface in this one and he's probably never gonna do another one so, eh... but Donovan mentioned they have a monumental one coming up, so hoping that one is a real barn burner  8)

After Dono’s little bit about needing to stay focused during a recent interview because it’s one of his heroes I feel like it could be Welsh. Maybe season ender.
I thought it wasnt just him solo, shouldve stuck with my og thought.

A Welsh episode would be so good. i think they’ve said before Welsh would only do it if they came to SF to do the pod w him.

I enjoyed this interview. the story about andrew reynolds leaving Atiba hanging only for them to find out it was actually his twin brother was damn funny. I always thought it was Atiba too

lakers hat. supreme mic. no thanks.

that supreme mic he's holding is a Shure SM58 - these are AT MOST $100 brand new.

the supreme mic is listed at upwards of $900 online...

if you are willing to pay that much for a logo, you deserve to get ripped of.

That $900 you’re referencing is a resale price and regardless, everybody knows he got that shit for free. Put some respect on Aruba’s name.

I was gonna say there's no way in hell I'd pay above retail for an SM58 but I would absolutely use it all the damn time if someone gave it to me.

Atiba got this far being a great photographer and also a skilled politician. This was entertaining but the politician in him kept him from talking the shit that would have really made it fun. I giggled when he admitted he's covered in box logos.

Love that he shouted out gustav & tyler surrey as his inspirations.

that and his love of Looks OK to Me solidifies he's got great taste in skating (while also being great at skating)

The former team riders and pro model shoe clues had me stumped but the "originally skated from" one was a dead giveaway.

Guessed it on the guest board - I think also the first one I got it way before the bunt dudes/guest. I feel like Haslam had some recent interviews - Beyond the board ~ a month ago even. Which - an aside - what's up with the interview format of that podcast changing to just questions from random friends?

Maybe my favorite skate of the week - I was lol'ing. Cepha winning is the best part of these haha. His reactions are golden.

I think I needed another four clues. I knew nothing about Singapore.. pretty cool. His fashion 180 doesn’t get talked about enough. It’s such a drastic change from when he first came on the scene!

I miss Deca. Still own Second To None on VHS and really love it.

it was a pretty entertaining interview. i enjoyed it the whole way through. i was definitely a major fan as a kid - i saw a rusty demo with tosh and arto in like 2001. early 2000s were definitely a special time.

Great interview. Very self aware and not afraid to talk some shit.
