Double kick tail for World was the giveaway for me. Shoutout Skateboarder magazine for the info that was burned into my 12 year old brain.

I didn’t know this about the board design and am surprised that dude doesn’t bring it up constantly when talking about himself, which has been known to happen.

I always figured Appleyard gets way too burnt before interviews, or maybe he’s just that loopy.

i love this clip of appleyard and cookie colbourn, i don't remember the purpose of it, but appleyard is dressed like a baseball coach and is completely vibing out coookie, who seems uncomfortable and is only able to stand up to him by landing tricks

they are asked their favorite restaurant for some reason??? and cookie does this wholesome joe pera thing and says his local pho restaurant, "they're really good people and the soup is delicious" and appleyard is just like "outback steakhouse MATE" lol

Man I've watched this clip about 10 times now. Why is Appleyard getting Donovans name wrong so funny?

As someone who rides exclusively twin decks I ashamed I didn't nail it on this one.

I'm surprised it took them that long to guess the skater.

Forreal, also Davis having all three riders being same team last 2 episodes makes it too easy imo.

And the same company too as the Franky Spears episode too.

Does anyone know what software/hardware they use for the podcast? Question is really for any podcast in general I guess. Any info is appreciated!

Cephas using a USB mic, maybe like this shure one linked below. Dono something similar. They probably record the show over Riverside or equivalent recording site. Then they have someone editing afterwords adding the logos etc. Starting a podcast isn't hard, but finding something relevant enough to talk about in an oversaturated market is. i doubt mike v designed anything, ever. it just happened to be used for his pro model. pretty sure story is chuck hults made the mold for the "double vision" and rocco at some point paid someone to take the mold from vision's woodshop to use at world.

I had two of the Vallely Barnyards way back when.  It was definitely not a true double kick.  Nose was shorter than tail.   I think it was a Rodney design.  The colors really popped on that graphic.

Same. Yeah he's fried but he's a funny ass storyteller. The gambling in Vegas story is wild and shoutout to him for helping his family escape a bad situation after. The random Micky Papa shoutout at the end was also hilarious
