If anyone has seen the movie Richie Rich, Blondey is Macaulay Culkin‘a character. Even though he’s rich, he doesn’t relate to his other posh classmates. So instead of faking it, he goes to play baseball with regular middle class kids in town and even dresses down to blend in and in the end everyone realizes that he was a normal kid all along  ;D
[close]

Blondey 100% has at some point considered using Pulp's Common People for a part, as an 'ironic' statement of self-awareness. He should've done actually. Good song. PJ's WHL showed that Britpop can work really well. They're back with an album as well. Sheffield's got some spots too. Yeah, fuck what I said. Go on son, a little Blondey in this year's SOTY run. Make it happen. Ender is a trick over the tracks at Hammersmith station, filmed perfectly stable with full view of Blondey, his board and his surroundings.

The album is really good too. Hopefully I can see them this month. I should check the skatevideosite before asking this, but has anyone used Pulp in their parts? I know off the top of my head Blur has been used, but not Pulp.

The fact that Jordan Taylor probably still doesn't know if him is hilarious. But now we all know this Colin Brophy so good job in telling those great stories. The Kelly Hart one was also great.

I’d imagine they just didn’t listen to the episode. Cause it’s so clearly tongue in cheek and brophy seems like a super chill guy.

I’m late to the Mike Carroll episode and didn’t see anyone mention his J cat voice he sounds like he is addicted to oxys.

Also I’m not a parent but at what point do u stop talking to them in that baby voice ?

That carwash story was one of the crazier ones I’ve heard on a podcast. That didn’t get enough discussion haha. Insane.

And yeah the Appleyard shirt story made me gag. Wtf man?

Great ep. Always love the ones with TMs.

Ryan is so dope and so are his photos. He definitely captured a certain era in skateboarding. Must be wild to marry into three kids. Laughed at him not knowing Rowley’s girlfriend was already in the house and just letting a stranger walk around. What happened to that property? I think this is the first I am hearing of it. As said before, definitely a boon for the boys when a friend and fellow Canuck is on the shoe.

What else?
Dono and the Lakai hat is always funny. Did he pay for that thing??
This is the most anyone has said “Paul Otvos” in probably twenty years.
Haven’t heard the name Sammy Winter in years either. I was a big fan of his, though. I hope he’s happy.
Appleyard, I couldn’t have predicted, but none too surprised how gross that boy is.
Deville dude stays shady.
And I don’t know if it was a video for Fact or not, but I remember a thread titled “Imagine looking at a baby and naming it Cambryan.” Still makes me laugh, but now he’s in People Magazine fathering Mick Jagger’s grandchild, sooooo it clearly didn’t hurt him.

Last episodes were really interesting, feels like this is going to be a storytelling season. Hope they can keep it up that way. Episodes where you feel that hosts and guests are enjoying the conversion and also dont hold back too much are the obviously the best.

Didnt know ryan shot the dylan bs smith cover. Whole lotto great stories. But damn, that appleyard story, holy shit (literally). Reminds me of Carlos and his socks but that seemed to be a emergeny situation while this one here...  :o

Imagine being so braindead and cheap you use T-shirts and leave them on the floor instead of spending 12 bucks on TP.

It’s a good trade off last season they got a bunch of really big industry guests and now we’re getting an old school bunt season and a bunch more events from them. Seems like they’re leaning into the event side and deepening the relationships to create a good community. Would love to see them get a bigger budget to expand these little weekend events they’ve been doing to more cities.

Ryan Allan episode is an instant classic. Love how geeked on the Toronto scene he was. He could’ve been the biggest socal cool guy but was hanging out with a bunch of teenagers in tall tees.
I thought it wasnt just him solo, shouldve stuck with my og thought.

Did I miss something, or did PRod sell Primitive or something? During the Post Office (around 2:06:40), when talking about skater owned board brands indirectly funded by Nike checks, Dono says “Paul had Primitive”
