Was there any clarity on the enjoi situation?

Bought back all of the rights and they are aiming to do a sister company to Jacuzzi similar to Girl/Chocolate. So there will be 2 companies/teams. Louie asked Jake Yanko to skate for them and he was hyped, so heavy possibility a few Welcome heads move to the Jacuzzi camp. That's the general idea they're going for, where they are getting the money to do all of this is beyond me.

His reasoning actually sold me on the enjoi reboot. At least there was a purpose of keeping it in the family.
I thought it wasnt just him solo, shouldve stuck with my og thought.

I think Jacuzzi and Enjoi have separate but complimentary aesthetics at this point.  It makes sense to get the old enjoi riders back on with some new riders and jacuzzi people to stay with new pros. I’m just confused on how’re they’re able to pay everyone, even after buying enjoi which was likely an expensive transaction.

^^^ Easily the best episode of the season so far and maybe a top 10 of all time. Louie is hilarious and you can tell has a big heart. Hard to hate on the guy. Easy to hate on Micky Papa and Lame Cole. RIP Bokma. A+ epi

I never had a real legitimate reason for being grossed out by Mickey papa. Sure I was always annoyed by his voice, his skating, his stupid face and the way he dresses, but now after hearing that story I realized my intuition was correct. I hope Louie had a hand in keeping some doors closed for him because of that incident.

Same, that story was brutal, poor kid. Louie was the perfect guest for the pod, they are into stories and he delivered. Leaving james at the gas station made me smile.

My thoughts too. I remember him saying he had no ill will towards Papa after a few years but I’m sure that opened some old wounds.

They were cool with each other back in the day. Then later on after not talking and while ghost was injured, Papa messaged him on Facebook asking for a Nike reps contact and jabbed “if you still even skate.” Bonehead shit

The episode should have been an hour longer, no talk about shoe sponsors aside from his quick Osiris dig, would love to hear more stories about tours with them and Globe... also curious if Globe threw him the big bag or not. In Appleyard's episode he mentioned how his Globe contract was $1million (obviously Louie wasn't on a SOTY tear like Apples so not expecting his offer to have been in the same world)

they discussed him being on Sketchers

i feel like he wasn't on a lot of these shoe brands for long, except maybe duffs?

I think a lot of people will have felt some much needed validation with that story for the reasons you mentioned. Thanks Louie.

Damian Bravo Ep….its in the mailbag.  I don’t want to get it wrong as it looks like a long story and inconsequential… please report back.

I used to see Mickey at the indoor when he was a child.  He would throw tantrums and do like 100 kickflips by himself on flat.  It made feel uncomfortable and I figured kids like that always end up sucking and quitting.  I was incorrect.

^^ Yeah, that was great aside by Davis.

Really enjoied (!) the Louie interview. He’s so enthusiastic which feels uncommon in the industry. I’m still not lining up for an Enjoi drop, but I’m happy for him. It’s cool to know he had been planning a sister company too. Makes Jacuzzi Unlimited feel less like a “Uhhhhh, quick! We need a new board brand!” and more intentional.

I would like to hear more of his Dylan stories since they seem like such an odd couple. Now I’m mad we were robbed of Dylan’s side too.. he’d had quite the life and it would’ve been cool to hear what he remembered about being an Osiris grom.
