Semi-lukewarm take: Mike Mo should just be one of the co-hosts of the Nine Club at this point. Obviously, that statement wasn’t serious, but my sarcastic point is that I’d rather that they just have him on in that way as opposed to taking up episodes that don’t need to exist. Besides, they’ve had worse co-hosts. The Nine Club appeals to the normies, and that’s not a bad thing, but when even the normies are complaining in the comments about the quality of the show, then you know you fucked up. If you visit the comment section now, there are diehard Mike Mo fans, but it’s literally just people complaining that Chris should just watch an episode of PSL, and that it’s really not that complicated as to need a whole episode.
Actual comments on the video:
“Idiocracy is hitting harder everyday“
“This is literally the easiest concept to follow and Chris is absolutely lost”
“Is Chris geeked all the time now”
And the best yet: “Chris looks way better without the big ahhh cap“
From a personal perspective, I don’t think the existence of vanilla-ass shit like the Nine Club is harmful. At this point, it’s something that I love to pretend to hate, like those “Hot Mature Singles in Your Area” advertisements that stalk me throughout the internet when I forget to clear my browser history.
My current issue with Nine Club is that there just seems to be way too many technical bugs in the live show. Crob was joking that it’s hard to run a podcast, and Kelly literally said “it’s really not that hard” lmao. Like guys, I get that you are using a fucking Star Wars command deck, 5 cameras and a Roger behind the scenes, but there are kids in their mom’s basement making better podcasts with less difficulty. Sort it the fuck out.
