I'm skating a 7.875" Habitat with 14" WB at the moment on venture 5.2 lows and 50mm wheels, really liking the shape and fresh feel. I'm in Europe but got lucky, seems the one i copped was made in mexico (so I assume BBS/Generator) rather than at HLC.

I've been skating mostly 8.125/8.25 on thunder 148s the last 6 months, finding this skinny low a setup a refreshing change.

how big of wheels can yall run on the lows?

Really wanted to get 139s but looks like I need to get the Los or 129s unless I want a rat rod setup

I run 50mm on lows and wouldn't go bigger personally, I get some pretty good wheelbite marks, but skate a lot of flatground with medium tight trucks.

I don’t know if any of you small deck fellas have seen these yet, but a 13” wb sounds interesting

[close]
I'm think those are designed to be a stepping stone between minis and full size decks.

Skated with a friend yesterday and he was riding one of these. I rolled on it for a second and it was tiny but didn’t seem overly short. He was ripping on it and wears size 12’s.

Edit: his was the oval 7.75 with a 14” WB

Bombed some hills last night on my Baker 7.5. Got the speed wobbles but pulled through (2nd time this happened!)
Haven't got to do too many real tricks on it yet, as my spots have been 100% busts since stuff is "getting back to normal" AKA too many people around. Just holding the board, I prefer how light these are compared so some 8.38 x 32 monster. I've been watching a lot of old Reynolds footy to keep me hyped on using a Baker board, lol. May have mentioned before, have not had a Baker since their first batch of boards. Trying to find a new spot so I can take the time to really break it in.

That’s wild for me to hear as someone who wears size 12. 7.75 seems like it would be an experience for sure. Definitely would prefer the weight but idk about the space available for putting my feet. Smallest I’ve ever gone since being a size 12 was an 8

Yeah he was ripping on it, even kf front boarded the flat bar we were skating. I saw him try a shove lip slide in the bar and was waiting for the board to explode haha. He runs 7.75 with 5.0 lows and 50s or 51s in his early 40s still gets pretty tech.

So sick. Love to hear that kinda stuff. Must be a crazy light setup. Definitely would be fun. Is he a taller dude by chance? or just big feet?

The G009 shape was good. 7.75 just the nose was too small for me to relearn nose slides. This 7.75 Alien Workshop is a monster tho. Square shape and full kicks makes it feel like an 8.0+

7.75 flat
Jessup grip
Shortys 7/8 Allen key
Venture Low 5.0
Shortys DohDoh soft
Boardy cake 46mm wheels
Red BIG Balls

For my preference I will be putting 5.25 lows I like my wheels a bit more flush to the rails

Nice

Great decks.

I will say the wood doesn't feel the best. It's kinda soft feeling imo. But it works

Thanks bud..I put the Lo's on at 11 pm last night and after my coffee this morning I did two ollies and a pop shove in my living room..got yelled at and leaned it back against the wall. :-[ I skated los for a very long time so I should get used to the height np, but the hollow thing might mess me up for a bit.

Are you going up in size or just didn't like the specs? Or was it because it's a Baker and you just couldn't live with that any longer?!?   ;D
