I really love 7.75, but there’s a huge issue.  One being it’s just hard to find one at a skateshop, but we all know that and the internet exists so not really a big deal.  My main issue is that these boards are super short.  I could be wrong but anyone here remember when these sizes were longer???? I just can’t skate shorter boards for anything other than flat ground.  Street and park suffer unless I’m riding at 14.25 wheelbase.  I swear boards use to be a lot longer in the 7.5-7.75 range.  I want to continue riding these sizes, but I can only find the length I like in 8.0s!!  :( 7.75 doesn’t have to be a mini only.

Toy machine occasionally had a longer 7.75, I think. Maybe AWS 2.0 as well.

A 7.75x 32 would be lovely.  Plan B use to make a longer board as well

I’ll take a look.  I should have mentioned in my post as well, but I also like my lengths to be around 31.7-32”.  A lot of the narrow boards are 31.25 or less.

The guy from DOA told me they are the best wood he has shared in awhile.

I want the 7.5 but I think 14.25 is too long for that shape

Sour decks have a couple of concaves so you have to watch out. You must check the model in their page or some other online store like skatedeluxe.com  and see what concave it has, coz they have high, medium and low and also different variantions of the lengths, but most of them are around 31.75 - 32 with 14.2 wb. The low/mellow concave actually is not flat at all. it is similar to baker mellow concave decks, which in my opinion are close to medium. I bought 8" sour deck that was listed (and also lazer engraved on the top) as 31.28 long and it happened to be 31.88 haha but other than thaat i like it - the wood is ok, the shape is great, kind of tapered kicks and nice mellow-medium concave.

my favorite was the old Alien 7.625 x 31.25 boards. but i'd do a 7.625 x 31.5 also.
7.75 with these lengths is also great! Agree on shortness, under that is weird to me. i could do 31 but not under that

alien workshop. dims are 7.75 - 31.5/ 13.75 wheelbase 7 nose/6.5 tail

polar makes a 31.5 too but the nose is like 6.75 with a 6.5 tail/ wheelbase is 14.25 i believe

i think polar's are a lil longer than 31.5

Have you had venture low 5.0s? I've got those Indy's for my skinny board but am always tempted to get ventures again but don't know if it's even worth it

When I started again this time round 2018ish it was the first truck (venture low) I  skated
Just coz I had a set and they were my go to last time I was skating around 2007

So ihave not had a brand new set of ventures since 2007,
I often get tempted to buy a new set myself

Just retired my first 7.75. I liked that deck, didn't wear the graphic away fully so it's a wall hanger now.

I think it's best if I get a pair of 5.0/129 trucks moving forward.

Curious, are there any 7.75/under 8 decks which have non-mellow concave or aren't mega flat? Or should I go for the in between of 7.875 for that kind of thing. 8's the largest I'll go.

Ooh, not stoked on the graphics but I'll keep them in mind. Says USA on the website so maybe like Prime, Pennswood or South Central?

According to skatedeluxe, jart makes high concave sub 8” boards. I don’t know how reliable those specs are though.

Maybe Alien ? https://www.alienworkshop.com/products/spectrum-white-8-0

https://www.alienworkshop.com/products/spectrum-7-25-8-76

https://www.alienworkshop.com/products/alonely-blue-7-875

Not necessarily high concave but medium/well concaved and relatively large /steep kids for boards of this size.

Stock shape but I am considering tapering it more I don’t like spoon rounded shape but maybe it will naturally shave those off doing nose slides

Anyone in Westchester NY area wants a 7.75- 7.9 deck that is broke for free send me a PM.  My kids even sizing out of them and wanting to size up, so likely will give away the 7.75's I have left in my stack to a good home.
