They are a business and they are just as profit driven as anybody else. These dudes are out here fucking paying skaters, allowing them to skate and put out footy and you actually have a gripe with that?  Yeah they sponsor influencers or whatever, but that is a necessary evil in the current climate of marketing.

I saw some kid on reddit say that skate videos are dead tik tok and insta are it, and the views speak for themselves. I don't watch 15s vids of skating cause I'm a full parts and rough cuts kinda guy, but the views are pretty nuts. Saw this kid bag a mil on a tre he didnt even land (but came close as fuck) as evidence of tik tok being it rn.

Point being if you actually hate cariuma for getting involved in skating and bringing attention to more guys who have potential (not saying they're all good) you are, in my eyes, a selfish fuck who's holding on too hard to he past.

as much as i want to shit on the yuma, offering a single shoe is actually a pretty great idea for their target demo who are trying to learn kickflips and dont skate switch at all

the thing is once i got decent at skating i would end up blowing out the soles and not just the ollie area on the left foot... also most skaters tend to step their switch game up so its a pretty niche thing to target, we'll see how it pans out

i personally just dont like the way that they came into the game, basically shoved it down my throat. its not a good look to me. the shoes dont do anything for me and they have not put out any content that i care about. the skaters they have put on seem to be the ones no one else wanted that had talent but no real likeability off the board and not good models to sell clothing / shoes either. i alsmot feel like they should market themsleves as like a lower tier athletic company like a cheap version of under armor/asics or something they just specialize in skateboarding because they have zero fashion appeal which is typically why people buy skate shoes (its not cause of the technology lmao)
