It’s all in your muscles really, those guys are big but skate constantly and have good leg / core strength. If you’re skinny fat then you probably stopped skating for a while / barely skate and you’ve lost a lot of your muscle / core strength.

It is because they are very short. They are pretty much like gymnists in their Body types.

The only big and average height dude as a pro I can think is chris cole. I guess he‘s just a freak of nature.

While not as chunky as Frankie or Foy, Tyler Price (one of the most underrated styles/skaters of the late 00's/early teens imo) is thiccer than most pros and still hucked down big shit with grace.

damn, totally forgot about jabari pendleton. when the first turf video came out i remember thinking damn, this dude is chunky, but he's really good! i think he slimmed down a bit after that and then i read he didn't skate for years or something up until shortly before he filmed for that turf video. made it even more impressive.
