Not an issue with it, but having enough cash to pay for someone else to make art is not a 'unique talent'

If you conceive of an artwork and pay for the production it's your art. There's a grey area here and we can disagree about  what the roles and rules are, but you're going to be pretty disappointed when you find out how many artists have studio assistants and produce projects that are outsourced to specialists. I think this type of CG imagery didn't exist much or at all in skating prior to Jerry putting it out there and that's unique to me. But I hear you. I'm still bummed that Jim Davis doesn't draw Garfield anymore.

Not at all. I love Jerry and back Jerry. He’s one of my all time favorites. I’m just saying you call him a “unique talent” for making this but there’s no way in hell he contracted an animator like “ok I want a little amphibian to morph into a clear human only to be sucked into an alternate dimension. And then I want an enchanted elk to walk up to a castle but they have a guard, and it’s a peacock. I want a HUGE peacock with spears. Yeah more spears!” 

Jerry is a unique talent on his skateboard. I don’t think he stole this so much as a friend either created it and sent him it or he paid someone for it. Ever seen those weird animation Instagram pages? Cause this is straight from one of them.

For the record this takes nothing away from him if I’m right. Again I love Jerry but he (most likely) didn’t create this and he is also the best

If I can get my hands on one of these from a legit skate shop, I definitely will cop. After reading all the comments on that Lottie's post from other skate shops saying how Jerry has been looking out for them since day one with his Sci Fi Fantasy drops (I think one skate shop even said that was one of the only things keeping them afloat when COVID first hit last Spring), I back Sci Fi even more now.

And for whoever was saying that the boards are going to be shitty just like their clothes, have you tried their stuff before? I have a tee and a long sleeve from them and both are a clear step up from the blanks that most companies use. I'd trust that Jerry would get his boards from a legit woodshop and not just use some shitty blanks.

Jerry quit Chocolate and not long after Emerica didn't fulfill their contract with Jerry and let him go. From Emerica's side they said he wasn't producing or really promoting the brand and to cut some fat over at sole tech they kicked him off the team. From Jerry's side, Emerica was his living paycheck, so when they let him go he was rightfully pissed but at the same time said he understood because it was true he wasn't really doing anything for the brand or skating wise. But my opinion is no one should feel bad for Jerry.  He seems to be doing exactly what he wants and doesn't have to live up to a companies obligations to make money for himself. Also nothing is preventing Jerry from getting new big sponsors. The guy still rips, he just seems to not want that anymore.

He dropped a full-part for their video (probably the best part in the video) a year prior. I wouldn't say he was doing nothing.

The video itself isn't all that unique either, it's very much an early 2010s DIS Magazine vibe. Love Jerry though and think Sci Fi Fantasy is sick.
