Was walking through town one day as a teenager and randomly crossed paths with Geoff Rowley. He was super chill and said he was just visiting the town and not skating. He walked by the skatepark later on and got jeered at by the entirety of the mini ramp 🤦‍♂️.

Next thread is about how dope AA is for caveman grinding a 3 stair out-rail. Crazy times.

Damn you got a link for that?

I randomly ran into Ronnie creager in a Best Buy when I was visiting my grandma in AZ and he was super nice.

Max Schaaf was really cool at the skatepark of Austin demo.

I used to live in the same town with Cody mice tire and that dude was the best he was pretty much cool to everyone.

This is a keeper.

Spent a day skating with Flo around 8 years ago because my mate was sponsored by his griptape brand, Souljah. He was a great dude all around and granted it was a mid 30's session, he treated me as if i was his pal (sharing his amazing hash and getting his filmer to film my extremely sub-par tricks. I am a shit skater and also had a little fever so i wanted to sit down but he insisted on me skating the same blocks). What made a huge impression to me was that for that day he had also arranged to skate with some of the kids (a group of 4-5 14 year olds) that lived in his neighbourhood in Badalona. What a fucking rad bloke! The definition of a skate rat who does not give a shit about names and is just looking for company to skate with. He shared many stories back from the euro-contest era and showed us a few of his local spots.
I was a bit nervous before meeting him because he is one of my all time favs and when the day was over my mate said "see? i told you, he is the friendliest dude ever".

Spoke to Devine Calloway for a few minutes during a DC demo in England (circa 2005) and the encounter was devine. It might be the way his jaw/face is shaped but he was constantly smiling and looked stoked throughout the entire demo. He also sw360 flipped a funbox that i was struggling to ollie. He did this while going super slow (like, hardly moving slow) and to this day i am trying to comprehend his technique. It looked like an eagle spreading its wings over its prey.

Skated with some of the sour guys back when they were still sweet. They were really funny, smoked hella weed and their skating skills were rude.

Not my own experience but i heard the best things about Frankie Hill.

This one goes waaaaaay back! But I know he's still top of class! John Lucero!Only pro autograph i've received.

NSA skate contest 1987, I have a Schmitt-Stix ripsaw blueprint t-shirt on, John's got his grown out hair, he's with Grosso who also has shaggy hair and in a tie-dye (they were getting into the Dead and hippie vibes for a bit - i think), I'm milling around, nervous as fuck...sensing what's up, John walks over introduces himself, tells me he helped with the design of the board and asks me if I'd like him to autograph it for me. John and Jeff were plotting how to get into a Pink Floyd show that night. Shine on you crazy diamonds!

Its crazy how a bit of kindness sticks with you.
