i think that's the antiwheelbite technology in the pivot cup area and not the washer.
The "antiwheelbite technology" is some marketing nonsense that people really seem to belive for some reason. That area of the truck is not going to bind no matter how small your wheels are. I think its just the geometry (sharp turning + 55mm tall) of the truck and the tall bushings that make it hard to wheelbite on these trucks.
I had wheelbite marks when riding these with ~50mm radial slims. It wasn't bothersome, but I definetely got wheelbite.
Currently riding hollow150 with 60mm Radial Full 97a no risers on a polar 8.5 with wheel wells. Interestingly, even with such huge wheels, the wheelbite marks are barely in the wheel well because of how extremely this truck articulates. It's totally manageable though, I just have to remember to bend my knees on every landing. This is why I started making my own wheel wells, I noticed my aces would never get much benefit from standard wheel wells because the truck would turn past the wheel well before wheelbite. I make my wheel wells with a rotary sander attachment for a hand drill.
The turn is so much fun and I love the heavy pop feel of these trucks. They are my favourite trucks at the moment. The only flaw I can see is the kingpin clearance, but its not that big of a deal for me.
I hope lurpiv sticks around for a while. I see people say that they don't have anything unique, but for me they are perfect. I love the turn of aces but wanted a bit more stability, a bit more height, and a little bit wider wheelbase. And they look sick.
