I ended up not digging how badly my kingpin and nut were morphing together so I found a franken solution with my stage 8 baseplates to invert em. I was too lazy to convert the lurpiv baseplates. I had to stack two flat washers underneath ace bottoms to get the geometry to work but it's flawless and the turn actually seems better without sacrificing the stability.
They look really good, so at least whatever works in that regard, as well as helping make the hangers last longer.
Seen some shockers recently of people who have grinded through kingpin nuts and can't even get the hanger back on, but inverted kingpins are definitely the best option for a well worn hanger, DIY or other, whatever you can do there.
Been skating them for 5 months now and I'm stoked. They hold up better than ace in my opinion. The holes haven't worn out yet, which was one of my problems with ace.
Did you mean the deck bolt holes?
I think the main thing there is always having all four of your deck bolts nice and tight on each truck, but anyone that doesn't tighten bolts down fully or only runs three or less, is going to have their baseplates get messed up with any brand truck, or any material baseplate, cast or forged, etc.
Not to put any truck brands above each other, but it is interesting how some might seem to have more issues than others.
