i would try these again as well i am using them again right now and they feel so much more fun than T2s. just get a short WB board (which is what everything is these days) and you are good to go. DONT use them with 14.5" wb unless you are like 6'2+ or trying to longboard. for me on a 14" wb they feel really fun and i gotta say they have the best look to them of anything and the quality is there in all other aspects.

Discussed with a non-local shop dude today and he mentioned that there will be an inverted kingpin option of the Lurpiv 3 as well. Not sure if he got the hollow and inverted mixed though. I am interested in knowing how much better the kingpin clearance is. On Lurpiv 2 it was really bad. If it's marginally better, on a similar level as Ace AF1 for example, I'd rather wait for an inverted kingpin that works. If the clearance is as good as it's on Venture highs, maybe the standard kingpin can be alright.

Was waiting for those to leak here for a while. Big P shown me pics of them half a year ago and they look really promising. From the looks I wouldn’t say it’s a game changer kingpin clearance but much better than before (which was a deal breaker for me as a feeble/smith fan). Also the baseplate has a different design underneath, it’s all milled with a circuit board like graphic to remove weight and it’s sick how it matches their brand aesthetic.
They are changing the production from the Ace Factory in Asia to being made at “the thunder factory” (I don’t know if that’s still Ermico in the US or in Mexico…)
I think the MOQ from Asia were quite high and didn’t allow for much experimentation, while the new supplier has way lower minimums and so they can try some fun stuff with less risk. Saw a few different finishes and colors and they looked rad.
I’ll definitely be buying a set once they come out.

I believe it has been said that Thunder truck production and all similar DLX production moved down to Mexico a while back - incorporated into or now part of the BBS production facilities under some sort of partnership deal, so that would make sense if they are now making them there as well, especially considering all the drama with China / tariff trouble that brands are having with production outside of the USA.

BBS / Generator had posted about their own brand trucks not too long ago, so if they now have production facilities to do decks, trucks, wheels, etc, then it means they could easily make other brand trucks too.

Interesting to hear things like that - thanks for posting.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

I don't need interesting colors just fix the baseplate and clearance. Someone mentioned pinch, which isn't wonderful but I guess I didn't expect it to be either. My memory of V1 was that they were all around better in every respect until they exploded.

Damn just when I’m managing my madness better lately this is fueling my curiosity!!

I need to know what this bbs trucks are gonna be like! but so far from observation they look similar to T2’s

And lurpivs being made over the border maybe means cheaper? Cause no tariffs??

Cause the price and scarcity is the reason I haven’t tried a set yet
yes

I would only try the inverted kingpin if they use the clicking feature like Ace does. All the other ones come loose from the sounds of it.

So the new version has a "4-hole mounting pattern" lol how innovative

“Gravity poured” wtf does that mean?? As opposed to anti-gravity or zero-g poured?? Everything on Earth is “gravity poured”. This add has to be a joke right???

lol Turdpiv, never change

Just like the Tensor slider plate until it malfunctions and sends you into a 200 mile per hour back tail

Gravity poured or cast is often denoted as opposed to injection molded. To my knowledge most shops would just say this is cast, but Lurpiv seems really big on the naming of features.
