I see this as an completely unfunny Tim and Eric skit that drags on for way too long. They should have hired a celebrity impersonator to play Tony Hawk.

Cut out the arm and board, apply a cartoonizing photoshop action, find photo of Joshua Tree or something, apply same filter, search Movie Title Tutorial and perform that on type and boom. Garbage poster.

Talk about premature ejaculation (of bullshit).
This guy is a nobody with no video parts or legitimate coverage I can think of. Like . I legit like watching him skate but now I’m even put off that by his obvious willingness to aggrandise himself.

This guy dubbed himself the “greatest of all time” and quite clearly he believes this.

Question: what are Van Alpert’s connections with the Church of Scientology?

Full disclosure: I enjoy watching this Leandre dude’s skating because of its relative fluidity, but on a technical level, is it really all that difficult? Seems like the type of stuff some kid at a beach front skatepark my pull, smooth, surfy, the works. It looks kinda fun to me; what can I say?
Shout out to beach towns, BTW.
You know the vibe!
Back to my point… Never have I seen so much hype poured upon somebody who can’t even skate switch.
That is all.

TL;DR Who?!?
This. he has more of a beach skater vibe than most

I still would love to bang Paris Hilton. It's not something I'm proud of, but I have to get it off my chest.

Did not read this thread or essentially any other thread about this dude, so maybe this has been addressed elsewhere, but here goes: Has anyone entertained the possibility that everyone, maybe even the dude himself, misinterprets his name as "Skate-GOAT" when it's really more like a play on "scapegoat"?  Kind of changes shit up when you think of it like that, explains the man's whole career, really.

Summaries

Leandre Sanders was born in Venice Beach, LA, into a world of gangs and crime. The only thing that kept him out of trouble was his love of skateboarding. While his older brothers joined the family tradition of running with gangs, Leandre - dubbed Skategoat - spent most of his days and nights at Venice Beach skatepark with his younger brother Leontay. He was so talented and determined that, at the age of 11, he caught the eye of filmmaker Van Alpert. Over the next ten years, Van documented Leandre's struggle to perfect his skateboarding and to survive. At 14-years old, Leandre was forced to leave his rapidly unravelling family life and started sleeping rough at the bowl of the skate park, relying on his friend Haden and the kindness of a local woman, Katie, who looked out for the two boys. And despite this adversity, Leandre never lost his drive to skate - Set against the visually palpable decline of LA, the decade captured by Van charts Leandre's journey to an internationally-respected skater who has perfected his own unique 'no stance' skate style. The result is a gritty reflection of what it takes to make it in the skating world - and what it takes to survive as a disadvantaged kid in the United States. Pulsing with a tactile sense of street style and punctuated by an incredible soundtrack. Skategoat is a story about the streets told from the streets, that proves anyone can seize their dream.

I really hope that there's a scene where we can see Leandre's switch to the dark side. He'll be out in Venice Beach, skating with Greco and Ellington when Greco proposes that they go hit the local stair set. Aye Leandre you gots to bring it, don't sing it. You ready to film some hamm- when he's suddenly interrupted by a spaceship landing at the spot. God Lord Xenu's apprentice Evil Steve steps out and offers Leandre to become the 'skategoat' and join him on his journey to Xenu's paradise. I see a Bryte future for you, Skategoat...

The poster reminds me of The Lion King if Simba was a  skateboard, which seems pretty cool.

I'm hoping for a Karate Kid/Thrashin' situation where the goat has to meet a mentor and train hard to defeat the daggers or the Kobra Kai dojo.

You think they will lie and have a big end scene where he wins a contest or nollie tre flips el toro or something?

Half this movie is going to be him hunkered around an iPhone with Berra and skate mama trying to figure out what filter to use on a Instagram post

“And that night, skategoat got 5 million views on Instagram with a switch tre flip down el toro, solidifying himself as the best skater ever!!!”

Itd be really cool if it was like cinderalla, Ellington and greco are the mean sisters putting skate goat down but then Steve Berra picks him up in a carriage and brings him to a dance party at the berrics where he meets skate mama but has to kiss her before midnight or he turns into a goat.

y’all ever see hardflip? brian sumner’s an angel who helps some kid find god and land a hardflip back lip on a flat bar

I really hope in this movie Steve Berra is the guardian angel who helps him footplant that tree at Venice Park or something.

Like legit congrats to him for avoiding gang life and shit. Venice isn't the hipster paradise people think it is.

But yea, this trailer (and film) is trying too hard.

He should focus on putting out full part rather than a feature film.

Like he's good. Way better than me. But he and the Berrics are trying too hard to make him seem come off as a legend.

It's a Benjamin Button career.

He's getting all the congratulations and accolades out of the way first. Then he will have an actual career and produce footage.

Finally retiring on flow for a skate shop.
