Sometimes people just get stuck with that, and it’s not their fault. Ya know dudes just wanna beat up and steal from random people sometimes, and it sucks. At least he wasn’t a big name dude who rides a board and invented shit like Rodney Mullen, targeting someone like that would just be heinous. Not what I meant at all. Just saying that Rodney Mullen is a high profile celebrity who basically invented modern skateboarding. There’s a difference between someone randomly jacking up Steven Cales on the street, and someone stalking the celebrity of someone like Mullen. Ya know ones like aggravated assault, while the other one is premeditated.

You don't know that it was random. No one does at this point. I'm not sure logic is your friend either.

Here is the text from the go fund me, with a little more information on that evil assault he has experienced. Shit is so disgusting.

"I need everyone to pray for my dearest friend right now, on Monday morning Steven Cales was brutally assaulted and robbed in Indiana after his truck broke down. We know several people he was last with and there’s a police investigation to catch the people who did this to him.

His ear was torn off, his lung is collapsed, jaw wired, he sustained injuries from being struck repeatedly with a blunt force object, both of his hands were broken (bc if you know Steven you know he put up the fight of his life)…

He just came out of his second reconstructive surgery and his vital signs are good, Miraculously regardless of the massive head injuries, he has no signs of brain injury.

I will keep everyone updated as we find out the next steps towards his recovery.

Steven is the love of my life; he was on a good path and he’s a true Warrior Spirit. These cowards left him for dead.

His immediate family and I are raising money to help with the costs of his bills as he has a long road to recovery.

Right now we need PVO only and everyone’s prayers."

I think I get what your saying, but who the fuck says something like this? It’s heinous no matter what and just because you would care more if it was Rodney doesn’t mean other people would. Also, you might want to rethink the way you value people’s lives. The death might affect you different, but that doesn’t change how horrible a loss of life is (we can talk about the morality of killing another time).

I hope Steven is doing well. These things shouldn’t happen.

As a nonviolent person, I can't comprehend why a stranger like Steven Cales was to these people, had done to deserve such a sickening treatment.

Those are wild pics. I had brain surgery last year from a bike accident. Although it wasn't as intense as Cales's injury, the body does heal and I was even able to make a full recovery. Hopefully he can do the same.
