At this point maybe they could make one edit for skaters and one for hypebeasts. The latter could be filmed like this shitshow, have lots of joint smoking and cool guying in between and be sold for $100 in supreme stores.

The other could be half as long with angles where you can actually see everything and put on youtube. This way everyone would be happy.

At this point it feels like Bill knows that the zoom ins and voyeurism will get us talking which will invariably get more eyes on the video, so we're probably all just getting played. I don't understand why you'd want to get more eyes on footage you can barely tell what's happening in it, but hey, I'm not a filmer.

What Supreme riders absolutely hate having their tricks filmed by Strobeck, but are too afraid to say anything? I just can't imagine doing some of those tricks and watching them back on his camera and being happy.

I enjoyed it, honestly. The style and effects may be a bit much at some points... but I like that more than the 'everything has to be ultra HD' aesthetic of Pretty Sweet (which looked clinical and awful). This gets your blood pumping to skate, although not sure about that acapella freestyle that felt a bit out of place.

Another observation is that these dudes are super productive. They flew to Berlin and handled business and got clips. A lot of NBDs in there as well at spots like Polendenkmal and Baustelle. Rowen's switch 50-50 down that angled Hubba and the manual next to the stairs come to mind.

But yeah, does anyone know how long they had to film this?

The filming is comically bad in some places and I agree that a second long-lens shot would do the skater and trick better justice. But ey, free skate video full of bangers. I appreciate it. Now watching Palace, what a week!

can't wait to see the next wave of videos by bill-biters barrel rolling their cameras while fully zoomed!! great lifestyle marketing for supreme, awful viewing experience for anyone interested in the skaters that ride for them.

One good thing to come out of this video.

They used the song tony t is singing on the BMX in the back garden in tent city.

Thus I revisited tenty city immediately after.

Was about to post this... love Knxwledge.

Overall I think this supreme vid had the least amount of actual skating than any other. Very meh considering how good the skaters are. I like the overall aesthetics of Bill's filming from the cinematography standpoint, like the saturation, tone, color, etc, but yeah, not to beat a dead horse... but I'd like to see the whole skater doing the trick. Especially since the talent level of this crew is crazy.

Jagger should hire him to film... if we only saw his feet, might not think his style is so wonky haha

Watching a Strobeck video and then complaining about the filming is like going swimming then complaining about getting wet.

People gotta start really making fun of these guys for allowing the prime footage of their careers to be butchered by this dude.  His whole style is going to age really poorly, especially now that it has completely stopped evolving.  It’s no longer the fringe new thing.  It’s the established, rehashed, corny thing that now needs to be supplanted by something new.

Ok I feel better.

This is not the videos like the ones I watched 20 years ago, but I feel that Strobek is pushing the medium to progress I guess? Soon he will hit the right combo and make a classic?

It's like all the stuff kids are into these days. I don't understand it, I don't want to understand it, but they are doing their thing and taking things where they want them to go.

You could say the same about Ty Evans post Modus, and while FF and Yeah Right are classics to most people, he kept on trying to be innovative with filming and most people hate his output post Fully Flared.

Go on lead the charge, DM all the people in the video making fun of them for filming with Bill Strobeck. Ignore that they might be completely fine with the way that he films, bully them until they quit or make a public statement.

I honestly don’t mind the imperfect/chaotic style of filming that he's come to be known for, I understand why it would frustrate a lot of people but there's something about it that makes it way more immersive to me.

I'm here to admit that basic ass line from caleb just so happens to be my favorite individual clip of the year. So bill already won despite the other filming atrocities. I could watch that on repeat all year

Nah wait I'm just drunk tonight fuck all of this

Yeah agreed, I was just trying to put a positive spin on the video as there was so much raggin on it. There's no way he's making a future classic, there was so many butchered tricks in this, someone may as well Photoshop Strobeks head on Daniel Day Lewis from GoNY
Is it true?  Or did you read it on the slap message board?

Video had great skating and music, but why the fuck did he add a shot of a little girl in a car (15:07) and a girl walking down the street who clearly didn’t wanna be on camera? (16:53)

I get the feeling Bill's contract with Supreme is about to expire and he is trying to figure out what's next. All this color grading is like a passage to getting familiar with what ever Violet is going to be. Like a commercial inside a commercial. Guess we will see. Seven and Troy are sick.

Is the last clip hinting who is going to film/edit future skate videos for Supreme?

You guys act as if he secretly filmed them taking a dump.  They’re like 10 second clips that barely even show their faces.  Are we forgetting that basically every skate video ever shows non-skaters who likely don’t want to be filmed?

that switch 50 from rowan is gnarly and is filmed better than 99 % of skateboarding tricks out there.
for that alone the strobeck hate is clearly the over the top answer of anti hype skaters against something that they fear to loose.
remember the pyrmid county era when all of you cool skateboard filmers felt so indie when you flipped your camera over mid line or zoomed in and out of a pattern for some cool transistons between clips? you felt so indie and artistic back than.
trying new things and filters is so sick when its not funded by hype

i dont like european drunk long haired light blue jean party boy image skaters that most of you will immediatly be ready to get their cock in your mouth. please charlie birch and oski fuck my ass.

Love how unhinged and angry this post is.

It would’ve been way more interesting and memorable if he just filmed like every other filmer and threw some Alex G in there.  Maybe took out the clips of women and replaced them with b-roll of random architecture and the skaters high-fiving each other.  That’s the stuff that really stands the test of time and people talk about for years to come.

It's like all the stuff kids are into these days. I don't understand it, I don't want to understand it, but they are doing their thing and taking things where they want them to go.

Watching a Strobeck video and then complaining about the filming is like going swimming then complaining about getting wet.
