Makes perfect sense - he does everything so proper and makes it look beautiful.

I’d agree. He’s made a lot of questionable choices over the years, but I still root for the guy.

I heard from a legitimate source (I work in Hollywood) that since being cut from Nike and mounting debts from Bianca Chandon coats that don’t sell, AO has become a high class escort to the producer elite of LA. J/k (or am I?), anyways I dig éS, sure some of their team choices are questionable, they have some sick models (as well as some questionable ones too) and they have come out with a few good clips. It'd be sick if they actually diversified their team and added someone like Alex who would be sick if he could get back on it and film a nice 1:30-2min clip skating.

I know I might be asking too much but a man can only dream, I'm actually hyped about this.

I wish the accel slim/mid were a bit thicker, stiffer, and made with better suede. That "cupsole" with that shitty insole feels thinner than some vulcs with good insoles I've skated. They bag out so quickly too and just turn to floppy bags on your feet. It sucks because they're such a classic looking cupsole, yet they preform like a budget ass vulc.

I couldn't believe how shitty the insole in my Accel Slim Plus were. Worse than the LRAB insole. Obviously the cupsole is supposed to make up the difference, but the shoes barely lasted long enough for me to get a feel for them. The suede around the toe tore within 2-3 sessions.

I’m just here to pile on. This is also how I feel, kind of a worst of both worlds scenario with the accel slim. I couldn’t believe how thin the shoe was in the forefoot/ball of the foot area. Wade skates em, and is amazing, but he must hate his feet. So many vulcanized shoes have more grip, and more cushioning. Because of the slim nature, the griptape ate into the seam in the toe box, without hesitation. The shoe was also small, and I needed to go .5 up in size, not a tragic, just adding to the fuckery count.
As far fucked as the shoe was…the flick was good. There was something there, just wasn’t a good result. I want the core shoes to win, but goddamn. I should buy some OGs, brown, but…I’m old and dusty and it’ll just be all sad with me trying to look like I did when I was 17 and everything was ok and good (for me as a cis, white, straight, hetero, male, lower middle class with both parents). And it was the same as it was then, but the OGs look like shoes for a 3 year old.

AO on LARB seems like a logical fit. I like his skating, but I was really only made aware of his skills on the board recently. His whole artsy NY fashion model, kinda flaky on actually skating thing sort of makes me less hyped on him though tbh. I get everyone has different passions, but its hard for me to give a shit about a guy that doesnt seem to give a shit about skateboarding, at least lately anyways. He is undeniably good though, great style. Just wish he would skate more. I do appreciate him calling out Dill/FA, skateboarding needs more people taking shots at and checking each other.
