Difference between regular Indys vs T Hangers?
« on: November 28, 2021, 06:38:19 PM »
As the title says. A local store of mine has some good deals on indys and I’m a bit uncertain of which would be better for me. What are the pros and cons of each type?

thank you

The T Hanger design is only offered in the smallest & largest sizes, and each is based an a different stage from Indy’s past.
Years of evolution in both skating & technology have yielded the current iteration.
Many Indy devotees consider the Stage 11 to be the pinnacle of their design development.
If you’ve made up your mind that is is to be Indy, you need but choose the size appropriate for your preferred deck width, and perhaps additionally decide if you’d prefer a lower height, and some extra bells & whistles in the form of weight savings.
My 2 cents: go with the standard issue, plain-jane version: they’re a smidge heavier, but are a solid truck at that price point that won’t likely let you down.
If you ride a hog, those 215s are really fun.
Maybe consider Ace as well.

@j....soy..... Gotta consider length of OP's shin bone before making a recommend like that, though.  ;)
For reals, that shit is still killing me an hour later. Thank you for that.

As mentioned before, it depends what size deck you ride. 109 T-Hangers are 7.25” from end to end on the axle.

215’s are 10” wide I believe from end to end on the axle.

I’m guessing you’re not setting up a tiny cruiser deck like a Zip Zinger, so unless you’re riding a 10” wide deck, you should pick the size of truck for the size deck you ride

Cheers guy I ended up going with the standard 139 for my  8.0 deck. And I'm not 40 so I’ll hold off the titaniums for now haha!
