thank you! nobody ever checks out my music, or if they do they donít say anything, so itís cool to get some feedback for once. it was only ever a side project for personal fun, but i always kinda wondered if it was totally terrible (not saying some aspects arenít, however)
I'm sure you put a bunch of time into those songs.  It's really good stuff.  Hopefully you get that creative spark again.

i still suck at mixing lol

aw shucks, thank you man, that makes me feel good. can't claim i worked on the stuff too terribly long, as i have the shortest attention span of any human ever. i work from home so i just kinda slopped this stuff together on the side during downtime. like quite a few of the samples i used come from old shitty horror movies i was watching on tubi in the background. the actual act of recording/mixing takes the longest because i have no idea how to make stuff sound good and i could endlessly tinker on a mix, that stuff feels like a chore to me and prevents me from starting any more projects, even with my songs being a minute or less.

damn dude, both of these are great! i think the mixing sounds fine on both of them, you could probably juice up/lo-fi the chill house one a bit but i think it sounds good as it is. i actually really dig the mixing on the "zone" beat, nice and sparse/clear sounding but everything knocks.

lol thanks, i still redid it. it's on beatstars now, maybe someone will lease it.

i find it really hard to finish projects. i basically just started putting anything out to put pressure on myself to actually finish something. and then i find something out that makes me want to revisit all this old stuff. but i feel like when i upload it the chance is higher that i just let go of it and rather do something new.

trying to wrap my head around how to make some lo-fi ambient/chill house and dub techno rn, a music that i never really listened to, but is really fun to make.

The pandemic was a heavy time - which was made even heavier by a drummer friend who was going through treatments for cancer (she made it through and is now cancer free thankfully).

With multiple fans blowing, and masks on while we played we persevered and wrote a bunch of songs. This ep was the result, which we recorded live (there's one tiny guitar overdub) and mixed in one ten hour session. It's instrumental w/ kind of a post-rock vibe - but I feel like there are some different influences that come through. I played bass on this.

Band my wife and I are in. She writes the songs, plays guitar and sings. I play bass and program the drums. Dreampop kind of stuff I guess.

Whole demo is in the playlist below. We are currently recording an LP that will be out in 2023.
