tried to "perform" something I made last night while watching a denzel movie. Vocals sounds rough as I am used to layer 10000 take. I like the idea of making something and getting rid of it a few hours later,  no tweaking, changing small details.

i enjoyed this, I'm into the textural loop in the background. real nice all around. i enjoy making music like this too.

short lil fun song I made w a friend over the holidays

edit to add this ambient/soundscape track i made recently as well if anyones into that sort of stuff

These are excellent. I really like the A/B structure of benchÖthatís something I desperately need to learn how to do. And out of curiosity, what did you use for that really beautiful string/vocal sounding chord at the beginning of bagel? Itís so pretty.

just finished the first EP with my Post punk/whateveryouwannacallit band! Some friends have told me it's pretty new wavy haha....
anyways, happy with how it turned out, considering we recorded everything at home and I did the mixing, even though I'm pretty underqualified for that sort of stuff...Other than that I play bass and sing in there.

https://alibisoftomorrow.bandcamp.com/album/disintegration-demos-part-1

I'm also preparing a first relase for a hip hop/French chanson kind of deal with an old buddy, so 2024 should be busy musically, stoked! First time ever I'm in 2 bands at once.

Usually not much of a post punk/wave kind of things these days, but I dig this. Third song is the stand-out track for me. Could use a splash more (plate) reverb - but thatís because I basically love reverb :)

From what i understand about those genres, it's either dry as fuck or has some short metallic reverb (a dense room would be a starting point) on it. Think early Cure records, Siouxsie, Wire's Pink Flag, Killing Joke. Don't need to drench it in reverb, but a small amount of reverb on a send should work pretty well

Will definitely try that, thanks! I'm not at the point yet where I can think about how to mix according to a certain genre, still bumbling around here ha... Not sure I'll ever get to become a good mixer though. I kinda lack the patience (and precise ears....) so I hope at some point I can give the tracks to someone who knows what he is doing!

It already sounds pretty good. Just read a book or two about mixing and you have an idea what to look out for and stuff. The foundation is pretty easy.

Thank u turd uve always been kind to me. I love dallous stuff, itís delicate in a great way, made w a lotta heart. Phony sock I just bumped a number of ur songs and they reminded of things that could be in a persona soundtrack with the upfront piano and slap bass and what not, itís good stuff

wth happened to TerryFunk's post? I thought that was solid..... good production and MCing! too bad if you deleted your own post man, I enjoyed your tracks.

Anyways love the variety of styles we got here. Not everything is up my alley but generally most tracks are well done I feel. Keep it up music slappers!
