Useless Wooden Bench, I like that video you posted. ? The organ tone with the pitch bend has a cool ghostly sound.

I slapped together a song and a video for my new rap label, Soft Ass Honkey Records.

definitely feeling "innocent feelings"

i started getting into making music back in april and it's taken me until now to make a song that i'm totally satisfied with (as much as i could possibly be anyway). i produced it and recorded it at my house. i'm stoked.

no problem, i really enjoy experimental music, not sure if that word describes it best but i can't think of another. belly rub is sick btw.
i made this song yesterday and i like it way more than ^ that one, which i decided still needs some tweaking in the mixing process.

i started with Ableton, now using logic, and i'm probably gonna bite the bullet soon and start learning pro tools.

ableton is pretty easy to wrap your head around.  its really intuitive, comfortable, and inviting for beginners.  i find it encourages experimentation more than other DAWs.

Logic is a little stuffier/more "professional".  if you're familiar with garageband, you might be able to pick things up quickly though.  you can import your garageband projects directly into logic and go from there.

i wouldn't suggetst using protools right off the bat unless you plan on reading a couple of books first

i'd say give Ableton a shot.  you can try the complete program for free for 30 days:

https://www.ableton.com/en/trial/

also, a lot of people like presonus' studio one.  they also have a free version, and you can upgrade if you like it:

http://studioone.presonus.com/free/

also lots of new Ipad apps that are supposed to be very good and full featured, so check some of those out too if you have an ipad

hope you find something that works for you

Sorta off topic, but i didnt wanna make a whole thread. Does anyone on here that uses soundcloud know how to set your stream so you only get music from people you follow? Most of the shit on my stream i dont follow and it sucks heaps  >:(

This is what I imagine schizophrenia would sound like if it could translate over into music.

I play the drums for this band, and i'm a little less than proud of it at this point in time. you'll see why, anyway, plays are plays.
we've been playing together less than a year (although i've known the dudes for years) so all we have on soundcloud are some shitty demos. We'll be releasing an EP recorded at Panda Studios this year, which is going to be a lot better than this first batch of emo pop fucking weak shit. https://soundcloud.com/ohmyheart

Recorded this with my trio today, a 7 minute piece about the progression of drug use. This is more the type of music i'm into, definitely more stoked on this project than my other project. Give me a second chance and listen to this track!
