From a Patreon standpoint, free memberships is basically a mailing list. You still to get to reach all your potential patrons. Throw them content crumbs, and feed their FOMO to make them subscribe.

Joa probably doesn't strategically manipulate his free members.

He’s been pretty open about not really liking his edit for this one so it took a while for him to feel comfortable with putting it out. Idk if you’ve ever done video editing but I’ve sat on finished stuff for months before posting cause I basically hated everything about what I made lol. He does get a lot of shit on Patreon for not posting/streaming enough but in my opinion I’d rather have quality over quantity, and I think GH has found a decent balance of the two. New KYSL was very fun though made me want to skate:)

Gearing up for another focus rebirth are we? If it takes him half a year to overcome his insecurities to do a single video that ends up being the only contest format I remotely enjoy watching then I'll gladly take that over a hundred churned pieces of bland visionless shit by well-adjusted hard working individuals like yourself.  Also he's managed - as a single dude - to think up by far the best current contest format. Imagine Nyjah dropping a 3 grand gambit on a nollie heel noseblunt down the ten stair to take out Yuto on the last round.while you're hearing background chatter from Midler trying to pawn daddy's Lexus to get back into the game and Ginwoo having a meltdown rager because the ref won't let him do another backside flip variation. I would actually pay money to watch that.

I’ve done a lot of video editing as well as audio engineering so I understand it can be pretty tedious work at times, but it’s not like he’s unloading pallets off of a truck or working back to back doubles in a kitchen. The dude makes good money being a content creator which by today’s standards is considered a dream job so I fully expect him to deliver on more than just streaming internet videos a few times a week if wants to keep those big fives coming from me every month.
