What are the phrases or sayings that you first heard or read uttered from the lips of a professional or amateur skateboarder that you adopted into your own vernacular on a regular basis?
Fwiw, I did do a search and couldn't find an existing thread.
For me, two instances jump out:
-When I was a teenager, I watched footage of some Japan tour that Kris Markovich was on and there was a part where he was on, like, a Tokyo subway, pretty clearly inebriated, and he was talking about God knows what, but he was all, "...[we went over there] and [we did that thing]...and so on and what have you..."
Since then, I often find myself inserting "and so on and what have you" into my speech patterns, where appropriate.
-I remember reading some magazine interview with Toan Nguyen at the end of his tenure at Shorty's (I want to say it was in an issue of Big Brother), and the interviewer asked him when was the last time he did something, like maybe do a magic trick or something, and Toan responded, "It has been many, many moons since I did one of those..."
So then I found myself pretty regularly, but naturally, using "many, many moons" as a measurement of the passage of time.
What about you guys?
