on a side note, i feel like street skaters only have this popular opinion

i rarely see a good transition skater doing a straight up back d in a run, its always back lip bc you can maintain your speed

No it’s an insanely cool looking trick and it boggles my mind when people can do them really well what does its likelihood of being performed in a contest run have to do with its looks is this how transition skaters think about skating, contests have done irrevocable damage to the collective consciousness of transition skaters
