Todd Fink from the band The Faint “almost made it” to the pro ranks but a knee injury ruined him. Also he was childhood friends with Steve Berra.

Pretty sure Mario only played on Audit in Progress, saw Hot Snakes live with him and they fucking ripped. God damn does Rocket From The Crypt absolutely fucking blow though, wow. Also that Sea of Tombs 12” kicks ass and is super underrated.

Love this thread!
Mike Muir from Suicidal Tendencies
Voodoo Glow Skulls I’ve heard talk in between songs live about wanting to skate San Francisco
The majority of the founding members of The Aquabats skateboarded including Christian Jacobs who was in the movie Gleaming the Cube briefly
Mike Park from Skankin Pickle, Bruce Lee band and many other bands skated and shared a sesh with Chino Moreno from the Deftones when the bands played together
Adam Stoiber from Books on Fate and The Catholic Comb is the best skater I’ve ever seen skate in person that wasn’t pro or am

James Hetfield of Metallica broke his arm skateboarding twice while in the band.
The first time was on tour in 1986 and his guitar tech had to cover him on guitar for a bit on the Puppets tour opening for Ozzy. His first show back on guitar was the last show Cliff ever played.

He broke his arm again less than a year later. Apparently Metallica was scheduled to perform on SNL and that had to be cancelled. Their management company initiated a "no skateboarding" clause in their contract after the 2nd break.

Warm Up Zone. Let's watch some skateboarding videos.

Musician's who skate or skater's who happen to be musicians, I think there's a balance that we've all seen and not said anything about.

Usually skater's who happen to be musicians unless it's authentic albeit Tommy G. Ray Barbee and small select few others who've proven themselves to go outside the punk/metal scene I think are genius.

On the other hand musician's who skate that's rad, we all know what sounds inauthentic when.hearing something like a try hard.

Great examples
James Hatfield
Todd from FYP
Spose
Pharell

Bad examples
Mike V.
Duane Peter's
Justin Figueroa

There's more than I mentioned of bad examples but I'm sure you'll get the point

One of the times he hung up on a front side grind in a pool.

Mike Mckinlay is Deer Man I can’t remember the context but I DM’d him sometime ago regarding something with Deer Man and video games and he confirmed it’s him.
Can someone explain in Fortnite terms?

The dudes from portraits of past met Jim t at emb and they went to a record store together and started portraits of past the next day.

Is this true? What a good info, thank you! Portraits of Past is one of my favorite bands.
