Mbdtf is a masterpiece but Kanye has been on some bozo shit for like 5+ years now

i would argue that record is one of the most overrated pieces of recorded media of all time. i was OBSESSED with his first two records, i’m a certified fan, but mbdtf objectively sucks. every song is at least a minute too long

Graduation slaps.  And a couple songs off Late Registration. "Drive Slow"

And every so often he has some decent stuff. I lost interest after Graduation though. And Mbdtf I thought sucked too.

just to throw my opinion in the ring -
All of his stuff pre-graduation was amazing.  Even his mixtapes were rad.

And I’m on team mbdtf... “devil in a blue dress” is too good

Burberry butthole sucks.

Never liked any of Kanye's solo stuff, but his beats for Pusha T are dope as hell.
Is it true?  Or did you read it on the slap message board?

Yeezy rips harder than who?

Imagine owning your own shoe company and still being scared to ruin a single pair.

808s is one of the most influential records in this millenium. No matter what you thought of the style, you have to admit it started a trend of emo autotuned rap that has been massive!

That stage looks pretty impressive by the way - something ye hasn't in the last handful of years

fuck i've always thought that graduation was his weakest album before ye dropped, mbdtf is great but i agree that some songs are a little too long, but that's like 2 or 3 songs at best. i'm not a huge fan of 808s though but as somebody said earlier the influence is undeniable. for me it goes like this though i changed my opinion a few times before, i usually listen to one of his albums again after some time of not hearing it and it hits too hard

I never heard of kanye until the first dgk video, it seemed like he was trying to emulate NAS.
He's never been good, he always came off as market researched, manufactured rap meant only for suburban white people.
It seems like his only listeners are Hollywood esq types and  36 year old white guys named Bryce

The set design at the Miami show is the best I've ever seen. Donda 2 is some of his best work. The new Balenciaga x YZYGap collection looks good. Kanye is winning.

"Hey skateboarders, I'm one of you!" Didn't Thrasher used to have a photo section for kooks like Kanye?

One thing Kanye is better at than all of his peers is selling out. Hard to surpass his far-right funded presidential run.

I do my small part by making his music easy to pirate.

“Everytime I’m in Vegas they screaming like I’m Elvis, but I just want to design hotels and nail it”

The 2nd most vapid and commercialized rapper ever. (First is jay z) went fake preacher route and then political grifter now he is back to being a billboard for corporations.

“When you lay down and I give you the semen, I swear I heard God, the voice of Morgan Freeman.”

All of his lyrics reference pop culture or brands. His brain is mush I don’t think he could pass a 8th grade math test

My senior year of high school, Jesus walks was the anthem for every douche jock. They’d roll into the parking lot in their Audi dad bought, playing that song as loud as possible with a backwards new era hat on and a swisher in their ear.

Literally everyone one of those kids got addicted to heroin not long after

This is similar to me as well. I'm glad to see someone giving love to yeezus and life of Pablo. Really underrated albums. Kanye always has flawless production, and lyrics have always been his weakness. Like someone pointed out earlier, him and pusha t linking up was such a boon for his sound (but push has always surrounded himself with talented producers going back to clipse working with the neptunes)

yeah his lyrics are definitely hit or miss, and i loved daytona, pretty much pusha's best solo work yet and top 3 of all of his releases clipse included

Daytona slaps so hard. I've generally loved the little singles he drops or the features he does like trouble on my mind with him and Tyler the creator or his verse on runaway
